I’ve been here twice now and the service has been top notch.
The reception team make you feel welcome and made a big fuss over my cat Rosie. She has been for her initial jabs. A few weeks ago for the first with Helen who really looked after her gently. And today with Kay who administered the second jab and a chip, again really gently with her.

I’d have no hesitation in recommending this practice. From the team on reception to the vet and nurse I had the pleasure of dealing with you’ll get first class treatment.

I tried Acron a few years back and wasn’t impressed, but decided to give it another go since it’s just down the road from us. One of our cats had a dry paw and the vet recommended Vaseline—but it made things worse, as she started licking it more and ended up with a wound. We had to book an appointment urgently and ended up spending another £90 on medication and a collar.

What really pushed me to write this, though, was the unpleasant experience at reception. I asked if they could merge our old and new address accounts by searching our cats via postcode. The woman at the front desk acted like she was doing me a favour instead of providing a basic service and was so unpleasant —despite the fact we’re paying customers. A little kindness and professionalism would go a long way.

I’ve decided to return to my old vet, even if it’s a 15-minute drive. They’re always friendly, helpful, and make you feel valued—not like an inconvenience.

Acorn vets... we moved to the village 2 years ago and we have had taken our dog to see the vets a number of time with constant health concerns each time we have been palmed off given no information on what could be causing our dog to be so poorly. 5 days ago our dog was taken seriously ill and acron vets had her in for 3 days for fluid therapy as there were some changes with her liver from the blood test we have been asking for for weeks. After 3 days, our dog woke up and couldn't walk. we contacted acorn vets and told them and they said they couldn't see her and she needs to go to another vets in bromsgrove. After 3 hours in the bromsgrove vets she has been diagnosed with Addisons disease, every symptom she has had over the past 18 months is every symptom for Addisons. We are so greatful for Townsend vets that they have finally gave us some answers and our dog can finally get the help she needs. I'm very confident that I would never recommend Acron vets to anyone and going forward we will be using Townsend vets going forward.
