It was a sad day when mum had to leave the home she loved to move into care but our arrival at Acer House could not have been better; Mum was greeted in reception by Danielle, carrying a bowl of fruit for mum’s room with a cheery ‘hello Betty, lovely to see you’. From then onwards every member of the team was exceptional.
From Sam’s understanding of the situation when she assessed mum at home to all the personal care mum received, the food, the laundry, the cleanliness; the staff were always friendly, accommodating and attentive and gave a high standard of care. Mum quickly settled and enjoyed the company of the staff, becoming very fond of them all. I felt able to trust them with mum’s care and therefore, I was able to relax, to stop being her carer and to become her daughter again. Mum and I had some special moments at the end of her life and that was thanks to the team at Acer House. They are a very special group of people.

My sister and I had a viewing on an open day earlier this year. The home is clean and inviting and we where really impressed with the facilities that they have. Luckily both my Mum and Stepdad have settled in really well thanks to the fabulous staff. Nothing is too much trouble and they are all very approachable. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who made Christmas so special for us all especially Santa and his little helper AKA Terry and Emma. They all worked really hard making sure the residents had a great day

My mum moved to Acer house in January after my brother and I visited and were given a tour of all the facilities and given lots of information to help us make the right choice for our mother. Since being at Acer House my mum has improved noticeably, all of the staff our so helpful and caring and always have a smile for you.
We are so glad we chose Acer House for our mum, she is happy there and there are always plenty of things for her to do and we know she receives the help and care she needs.
June 24 - Just wanted to add to this review, my mum has now been at Acer House for five months and I am more than happy with the wonderful care she continues to receive, she and I have got to know the staff over the last five months and they are truly
dedicated to providing first class care at all times.
They are so kind and helpful to mum and understanding the care she needs to help her with her dementia.
I have recently recommended Acer House to someone I know who is considering moving to a care home.

As someone working as a staff in Acer House i could assure you that this would be the best place for everyone who is looking for a lovely place for care for their loved ones. The friendliness of the staff including the reception, the management and everyone here at Acer House would really make you feel like a second home to everyone who visits. The cleanliness, and the overall quality of care would be the best your loved ones could get. The safety of all our residents would be our most important priority as well as how good they enjoy their activities that takes place in Acer house. The nutritious and tasty meals that we provide would be the next important thing that your loved ones would be offered to give them the best time during their stay here. Overall as an establishment Acer House would be the best option to look for if your loved ones require care and live wholesome as a family.

We think Acer House is amazing! The children from our nursery love visiting and spending time with the residents. Its such a warm and welcoming care home. They go above and beyond to make sure that the children are happy when we visit. Thank you for all that you do for us, we are excited to continue our visits with you!

As a health care professional working alongside Acer house care home I have always been made to feel extremely welcome and part of the team. All of the staff are extremely helpful and the residents are always busy partaking in activities which is great to see. Acer house is a fantastically run care home and i always enjoy my time there.

Acer House is a wonderful care home with clean and bright rooms and excellent facilities. All the staff are friendly, professional and caring with all the residents and families alike. They have regular organised activities, meals are catered to the individual, and the lounges and bedrooms are comfortable and relaxing. A real home from home.

We couldn’t wish for a better place for my mum. The staff are amazing and everything asked for us dealt with. It really feels like we are part of a family. The support is amazing
The rooms are lovely and the added bonus of the beach hut to use is fab!
