The same day access phone line runs for an hour if you don't get though with in an hour your told to call 111 but if your one of the lucky one who gets though and you manage to get to see a doctor the surgery is always empty ?

I was once told by a receptionist that I wasn't a patient at this doctors surgery I really dont know how some people managed to get tho the Interview process

Absolutely awful service the past few years. Completely ignoring my pain for two years, not getting to see a gp, ridiculous online questionnaire to get to speak to a gp, who then decides, they’ll stick to messages. Ignoring, consultants medical advice and sticking me on the cheapest meds, and ignoring me. The worst gp, in Northampton, the fact some are giving it 5 stars, means they can actually do a good job, but choose to do the least possible, with other patients. Such a shame, it used to be so good .

My nan called today for me, we’ve been instructed to call between 8-9:30ish, i’ve been struggling with my periods, no motivation for school, super low mood/no energy, so we called up and we get greeted by such an abrupt receptionist, absolutely absurd the way her tone was, seems as if she doesn’t even want to do her job, she written down my name and my date of birth and what was wrong, she said she will send it to the doctor to see IF he wants me to have an appointment, first of all if someone is asking for an appointment because something may be wrong, they’re entitled to one, this medical centre hardly gets people the appointments they deserve, however, after saying she will pass on the message, we waited a total of 6 hours to get a call back confirming something, so, we called up again, this lady was quite nice, she took my name and date of birth and THEN exclaimed that my name wasn’t even on the system and no message was passed on to a doctor, by now i’m furious and still currently waiting for ANOTHER call back. fix it.

I have been with this surgery since 1988 at its previous location. A lot has changed in those years, but I have always had full confidence in the practice doctors. Getting older now I’m needing them more and I have only had good experiences with using a combination of Livi and Anima. I agree phone access is difficult if you haven’t got internet access. But absolutely all staff have treated me professionally and with respect.

i have transferred to this surgery after a horrible few years of experience at weston favell surgery. I dont go to the GP much thats why i was signed up with them for so long but getting an appointment there was impossible and they referred me to a local pharmacy while i was severly ill! after tranferring to the Abington Medical Centre i got regsiterted within a day and requested an appointment. They called me only a few mins after my request and booked me in for an appointment same day with flexibility as i am working. Great experience so far!

Beast GP i ever had. Doctors very understanding and help as much as they can. Request all needed treatment immediately and all referrals. Im very happy how i have been treated. Their Anima-gp is absolutely amazing, saves hours on waiting on a call to be answered and you get responses from Doctors very promptly. I would highly recommend this practice.

I find the phone but especially the Anima service very efficient. The staff are always very helpful. The GPs have always helped and listened to my issues and explained themselves if treatment isn’t needed.
