Wouldn’t recommend this home for any new staff but also new residents. HR and the management are the worst team to have, they claim to care of their wellbeing of their staff but once you’re off sick they fire you. Secondly the care isn’t the best, how could you possibly want an x amount of care to be done in the morning with less staff. Worst home ever to work in, staff retention is not possible with the way this home is running. It is beautiful throughout but with disgusting staff running the place. Please stay away if you can. Cannot trust management, they will let things slide under the rug. And I think they are quite racist.

Dad, 92, went in after a fall and a stay in hospital. He also had dementia. The staff couldn’t have been kinder! He was made welcome and all his needs met patiently and cheerfully. The staff cared for him (& me) with dignity and human kindness until he died. I can’t speak highly enough of the carers and nurses there. So reassuring for relatives.

I do not recommend this care home.
The company have done brilliantly at advertising and selling the fake ‘dream.’ The adverts and videos of this home make the place look lovely.
When I visited this home to visit a relative, the staff were sat on phones and laptops, and were so busy scrolling they ignored a buzzer device, which I think is when a patient calls for help. They only acknowledged it when I picked it up after it had been vibrating for minutes and passed it to them myself.
The member of staff I spoke to on that floor didn’t seem friendly or welcoming. This home is depressing, and felt more like a 3 star empty hotel, where the residents just wait to be fed each day.
There is even a pretend pub at this home ‘The Mayfield Arms’ that doesn’t open or have any staff. It’s basically a pretend pub, that if you want to sit at you can. It doesn’t open and also doesn’t open to serve drinks to residents any day of the week. The staff mentioned it isn’t possible for it to open as residents have rooms on that floor. The company advertise this on their website and front page newspaper ads, which is misleading. There is a reason other homes in the area are fully booked, and this place has to advertise.
The only positive about this home I found it that the lady on reception was lovely when I visited, and it’s a shame the rest of the staff don’t care in the same way.

Terrible management , staff lovely & the residents but the company is not well organised , mainly run by agency staff so no continuity ! Also agency get the blame for any errors made
