Just a beautiful and peaceful centre. Very well run. Set in picturesque Ilkley. Beautiful surrounding lovely gardens. Rooms are ideal. Home cooking and plentiful. Wonderful staff. Numerous visits and will definitely come back again.

The Briery is about half a mile from the centre of Ilkley. It describes itself as a 'place of spiritual renewal' where people can find God in an atmosphere of love, prayer, healing and peace. In my experience that is exactly what it offers. There is a programme of events and retreats but the place can also be used privately for time away and reflection. Rooms are good - obviously not Hilton-quality - it's a retreat centre. But they are comfortable and warm and well-appointed. Food is excellent and plentiful. And the feel and welcome of the place is warm and sincere and with practical concern.
