My experience with the medical professionals here has been generally quite good. Mostly physiotherapy and phlebotomy but I have seen a few other departments too. It is disappointing to see closure of minor injuries. There is usually not a long wait. Have had bad experiences with the physiotherapy reception. It is also usually a challenge to get parked.

My mum ended up here after a few weeks in James paget (who were wonderful) They very quickly got fed up with her & used her longing to get home as an excuse to discharge her. 5 days before this happened a lady called Lucy came to my house to assess everything. She promised a higher commode to help mums falling issues (15 so far this year)
& said how worried she was about me as a sole carer & promised help from social services. Sadly none of this materialised. Don't get me wrong all the nurses on ground floor are wonderful. But this is the state of our nhs today, where you are fed lies & left to cope on your own. I'll trosh on until mums next fall or i have a nervous breakdown then we'll start the merry-go-round again‍♀️. Lucy I sincerely hope you are able to sleep at night, as I can't, your conscience must be severely depleted to allow you to lie so much with a smile on your face. All best to you, my conscience is clear I'll do best I can. Thanks to the people on ground floor who were amazing I'm very grateful. Very sad sign of the times ?

I recently spent over six weeks in this hospital and cannot rate them high enough.

Learnt of shocking treatment of a patient - very disturbing that nurses could behave in such a callous and uncaring way. Hope they are ashamed of themselves.
