Sent to here as a crisis appointment from a&e after my daughter was suffering with her mental health. First question I was asking was what my expectations were!!! When I said help the guy said ok right well the waiting list is very long and the hospital are giving false information and hopes to parents. I was completely shocked and felt so upset when we left. I do not know how they can call themselves a crisis team when your made to feel like you are wasting their time. Awful

I can only comment on my personal experience of Whitestone Clinic.
Accessing help for children's mental health is a disgrace.
In Warwickshire alone CAMHs currently has approximately 10,000 young people on their waiting list!
I made hundreds of calls to different services over six months trying to get help but once I'd managed to get an appointment with Whitestone they have been amazing. From the team on reception to the mental health practitioners, their support has been outstanding, they've been kind, understanding and professional and a massive support for myself and my family at a time of crisis. Thank you guys

Started off really good with the doctor prescribing tablets then calling every month without fail. But that same doctor decided for us to use another clinic. After this happens we don’t hear anything from anyone! No support, nothing. My son had a serious seizure and was rushed to hospital. We were told by our Gp the seizure was down to the tablets. So feeling alone and unsupportive I desperately tried to get a message to speak to that same doctor again after the serious incident, telling her how we haven’t heard from anyone since. She doesn’t call back even after she prescribed the tablets in the first place! I find is an absolute disgrace what kind of doctor would prescribe such strong medication, to get a message of a serious reaction and not call back ! Really makes me sick !!!

Absolutely vile people, who don't seem to want to help anyone. we were supposed to be on the fast track 18 month waiting list, that's gone now we've been told to wait another 40 weeks! That's for our youngest son, his older brother had to wait 6 years! This place is incapable of understanding, or helping children and their parents. If I had a choice I run as fast as I could anywhere else for help, but living in North Warwickshire you HAVE to come here, even if you have money for private care, and a private test for ADHD & Autism the government wont recognise it, so they will not help.
As if life wasn't hard enough, for our children and us parents who have to live with these illnesses, getting no help, or care from a staff that tell you, oh just let him get in trouble with the Police then hell get a child psychologist and care, because as things stand we don't have the time or resources to deal with him. I am disgusted by the people at this clinic.

Never keep the same doctor. Always a different doctor each time. Absolute piss take. Been with them since I was 3yrs old and now they want to totally abandon me now I’m 17. Never want to deal with my problems or sort/arrange anything out. Always refer to the gps.

Child mental health services here is an absolute disgrace for months my daughter has been self harming and each time sent here they do nothing and close it and each time it happens again I was treated like dirt by teo members of the team which I also got on recording and the social worker who was with us helped me put in a complaint as even she couldn’t believe the lack of professionalism and how I was treated it was disgusting 9 months in total so far this has been going on and each time escolates and back in hospital the other week and yet again what have camhs service done met with her then closed it again I tell ya the day she actually manages to succeed because of those not doing their jobs to protect her like they should of been doing from the start I’ll sue the lot of em it’s sick no child should have to suffer because of camhs ignorance and lack of professionalism and no parent should be at the point of breaking trying to get them to listen and help their child so many children and families being failed by camhs up and down the country but at this clinic well I’ve never seen anything like it it’s definitely put me off MH services for life my child and family has been failed by their arrogance,ignorance and lack of professionalism it’s sick what my child and family and many others have had to go through and continue to go through because they can’t do their job clearly a child has got to be at deaths door or actually succeed in killing themselves before this clinic and many others like it wake up and actually help the patient it’s both frightening and sickening to think what the outcome may be for many if they don’t start helping those children and adolescents they way they should

Complete waste of time, same advise time after time, take a bath, listen to music.......our children need proper structured help not this fob off service that is inadequate. How many more people are going to take there lives because of your poor service?

I was very pleased with this centre they were very friendly on reception and then the man my daughter saw was very nice and helpful. He made us feel at ease and my daughter felt comfortable which was main thing. Thankyou.
