If I could give it 0, I absolutely would. Triage people are absolute degenerates honestly and doctors honestly at this point on par. What’s the point of our tax money going to the NHS. Rang to book an appointment for a shoulder muscle injury and for advice on medication, was met with the rudest response by the triage people - “well that’s not on the form is it” and then proceeded to give me medical advice, I must’ve been born yesterday cause I didn’t know you no longer needed a medical degree to give out medical advice anymore. Receptionists are fine - just bearable really, tells you to book appointments online all the time only for that website to be down all the time…

Why is so difficult to see or speak to a GP?
I only try to make an appointment when I really need one.
Tried to make an appointment today, only to be triaged to say I might get an appointment within 3 to 4 weeks. But no appointment given!
By then I will either be better and much worse.
I appreciate there are people worse off than me and that the NHS is stretched but it is ridiculous. Why should people suffer!
Where do you go for help?
I feel so helpless. There must be a lot of people, especially the elderly who just give up trying to get an appointment.

Told to complete the online form for ALL appts as they can’t make appts on the phone. The form asks what days/hours you cannot be contacted which I filled in. The surgery then contacted me during these very hours!! Ridiculous! Why ask when you are not available and then try contacting you at this time?

People moaning need to understand the pressure the NHS is under and GP surgeries are no different….my experience with the Swan Practice has only been positive so far on the 2 occasions I’ve needed them since moving to Buckingham.

Dr Kate Hill was honestly fantastic and not only did she take me seriously and give me the time of day, she also completed the necessary onward referrals for me in a timely fashion.

Did it take a while to get an appointment, of course it did but you can blame the Govt for the state of our public sector and NHS.

Try to get referral for diagnostic scan.
Called 3 times, stayed on the line for over 45 min , no chance to get through. Looks like nobody is answering the phone.
Been referred by 111, no chance to speak to anyone; make appointment online as well , got and info I'll get call back in 4 weeks and I need to have my phone with me all the time!
Ridiculous!
The system is bad, nobody cares, very rude and not compassionate staff.
Working as healthcare professional I cannot get health care for myself!!!!

I was very sick at the beginning of December. I tried holding on the phone so thought I would try the online questionnaire. No response. Called the following day (5 December) & was told I had been given an appointment for 29 December… Went to the Tesco pharmacy & the pharmacist there said you seem really not well & you need to see a doctor. I held on the phone for 63 mins the next day to get through! Once through, I was pleased with the doctor’s care & was called back - unprompted - for a check in - which was great!
Now I have to call again & am dreading it! Tried calling on Monday & held on the line for 28mins but didn’t get through to anyone.

Very poor communication from the receptionist, who told my foster daughter when trying to get an appointment for her anxiety ‘we don’t make appointments for that sort of thing’ she couldn’t have been less helpful and abrupt and left a vulnerable young person very upset

Moving from Hertfordshire with an excellent practice to the Swan with the worst practice I feel very disappointed. My old practice was on the ball you would ring up only number 2 waiting always could get an Appointment same day. The swan is a different kettle of fish
Made an App for my son still waiting that was 3 weeks ago. Tried to get an appointment for my son again text sent back saying ring before 11 and pharmacy can see you sent text still waiting for a reply
