As a family we are so happy that mum was able to take up permanent residence at The Firs following a respite stay as independent living was no longer an option. I was impressed with the home even before mum was admitted due to the excellent communication and understanding we received from the firs team to make a difficult and upsetting transition so much easier for mum especially. Since the day she moved in we have had no doubts whatsoever that this was an excellent choice as this is an exceptional care home, well managed and the most amazing staff, all of them. Friendly, professional ,but above all they deliver exemplary care with so much love and kindness. Food, activities, involvement of residents and their families. 5 stars !!!

This is without doubt the most professionally run care home in the area. The staff and management all go above and beyond to make the residents’ lives as enriched and person-centred as possible. Everything, from the care to the numerous activities and trips laid on for the residents is exceptional. I love following their facebook page to see what they’re all up to next! All the staff and management pour their hearts into their work and that’s the difference. If I could give ten stars I would - The Firs is outstanding!

The Firs is a very welcoming and friendly home. I highly recommend The Firs Residential Home to anyone looking for their family/friends. Staff are very good and very professional. The management is amazing, in special the manager is very nice and kind and doing a great job supporting all the staff, residents and families.

Wow what can I say, if you are looking for a care home for an elderly relative this is by far the BEST residential home in the area. The whole team are warm, caring and genuine. My Grandad Arthur was so well looked after here and the whole team deserve nothing but thanks. Special mention to Anna who was always delighted when we popped in to visit with Arthur’s Great Grandaughter Grace! There are so many activities planned each week keeping residents entertained; delicious food prepared on site (to which I was lucky enough to enjoy on Grandad’s 94th birthday). Everyone who works here goes above and beyond. Thank you doesn’t seem enough but the firs angels really are THE BEST in the business ❤️

My father has been at The Firs Residential Care Home for several weeks now. I feel so reassured that he is receiving 24/7 care. The management and staff are always so caring, polite, professional and supportive. I can phone them anytime and am able to speak with my father which is so nice. My father will unfortunately need long term care but I am pleased that he is supported by such caring people.

A committed, well led and motivated team, providing flexible care with a 'best outlook' policy for all residents.
The home provides supportive communication and I continue be impressed by all staff.
The care is dignified, inclusive and the surroundings are calm.
Additional features in my choice of this residential home were the quiet location, security of the grounds and the size of the home (not too large).
