Unfortunately we needed to bring our 1 year old to the Children's Hospital last night and I feel I have to write them a review.
Ok so parking is a pain-its in the centre of Bristol so it's going to be and we only had this problem because the ambulance wait was so long we decided to drive ourselves, that aside.......what a great experience in comparison to your average A&E.
We entered A&E to a friendly receptionist (don't get those very often) and waited all of 2 minutes before we were called through. Every member of staff we dealt with was exceptional! They were so warm, friendly, patient and child focused and explained things in plain English.
They brought us coffee and toast, warmed milk up for our baby nothing was too much trouble. Genuinely wonderful people who fit the job they do (unlike your average hospital).
Thank you to all the staff who worked the night shift early hours of Sunday 10th November, you guys are amazing!!

My 3 week old son was brought in as an emergency straight to intensive care thanks to the amazing Watch team. They were really patient and kind and took time out to make sure that we were alright and to make sure that we understood everything they got us accommodation and free parking, they were so kind to my son and saved his life I could not be more grateful to the Seahorse P.I.C.U and Dolphin Ward. He is now a happy healthy little boy.

My daughter was rushed into the emergency department last Friday. After receiving the most incredible ICU care and surgery we spent 7 nights in the hospital including 6 on the Penguin ward.
The doctors, consultants and nurses were all incredible. At no point were we left in the dark. Reassured at all points and offered accommodation, free parking and personal support.
Special thanks to Maha, Maddie, Becca and Charlie for making Olive feel so safe. Summer for the discharge and Dr Andre and Dr Rogers for such incredible care.
Thank you NHS
Dave

The staff of course are superb with their children, and are there 24hrs, 365 days a year. We were seen quite quickly and I was impressed at the care and interaction they had with a very distressed 3yr old.

In every other way it's challenging. The hospital layout and building are old and confusing. I always thought there was underground parking but there is none - meaning parking on Trenchard Street or the challenging Marlborough Hill car park and then walking a fair way if you have a very poorly child.
