Phoned on behalf of my parents. Receptionist was not helpful I wanted my parents to have a podiatrist referral and a Occupational therapist referral both of these referrals involved booking a gp appointment. My Dad has recently not long come out of hospital and has Mobility issues and I felt this was urgent but the receptionist refused to send a email to the gp she said he would have to have a gp appointment.

Most concerning thing recently my mums anti-depressant were just discontinued she told me after 5 days of not having them she phoned the GP and he re-prescribed them it was there mistake. I found this so concerning that a mistake like this would happen.

I want my parents to live there best life in there eighties but the obstacles they face and the lack support to enable them to that is very disappointing at times. GP services are there to keep the public healthy at home

I am so disappointed
I am a specialist stroke nurse in the nhs patient centred care is most important think to me

My Mum is a retired nhs nurse worked full time.
My Dad is a retired taxi driver worked full time

They both deserve more respect then this.

Doctors, Nurses and reception always helpful, friendly and professional. I have been in the surgery when receptionists have been spoken to appallingly by patients and they have still dealt with it extremely politely, I don’t know how they do it. Good work Tarleton Health Centre

I dealt directly with Dr Southern and the team at the practise concerning the care of my mother who was terminally ill. I only ever experienced the utmost care and consideration, with staff going the extra mile to ensure my mother was kept as comfortable as possible. As an example they intervened with specialist hospital consultants to improve appoint appointment lead times. I cannot praise their support and compassion highly enough.

I've recently moved to this practice to my disappointment.
First they haven't been able to process my online prescription login details properly and seem unable to do so.
I was then told i was overdue an asthma check up, so tried to book that only to be told I'd have to go to the Burscough clinic.
I then tried to make an appointment with the nurse to get my ears syringed, only to be told they don't do that either, I'd have to go private!

I could have died if I had not been taken to the walk in centre at Ormskirk by my husband. having a life threatening condition and to be told on a Friday, come back Monday? I find the reception staff rude.
Neglect is a strong word, but it is true.
Have a look at the information below::::::
General Practitioners are held to the same standards as other medical professionals and owe their patients appropriate and adequate levels of care. If a GP fails to carry out their duty of care correctly or if the care that you receive is substandard, this can have huge consequences and the impact can be devastating. In these unfortunate instances, this could be considered negligent care from a GP.
It is therefore vital that your GP takes the time to listen to you, considers everything they are being told, and then makes the right assessment as to what should happen next. Failing to see the right specialist can prolong your illness. Not being referred for scans or x-rays when one should have been authorised can mean conditions go undetected and untreated. Misdiagnosis can delay treatment, sometimes until it is too late. Your GP is the gateway into the NHS, and to the treatment you need, so it is important that they get it right.

Sorry to go against the majority but I find the staff to be extremely helpful and polite. I did once challenge over the time it takes to see my gp which I was given a more than exceptional reason, increase in house builds, a doctors surgery closing further in the village which all factor too increase in foot fall ect.
The doctors are extremely helpful with an exceptional knowledge and never once have I been made to feel a number
