Ive presently worked here as agency. All staff are so welcoming and very understanding if you’re new to the building. They want to have a good shift and building relationship with their residents that live with them within the caring, supportive and loving environment.
I recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a welcoming environment job, agency workers to feel part of the team and to anyone who is looking for their relatives to live here.
It is very limited parking due to it being within a street but that doesn’t affect
the wellbeing of individual being cared and supported with their daily activities.

I had a profoundly disappointing experience with Aspen House that I feel compelled to share. After a promising interview for the Deputy Manager position, I was initially informed that I had been offered the role, contingent on satisfactory references. I provided four references, including two from Poland, which were translated and signed by senior professionals, as well as a positive reference from a Clinical Manager in the UK.

Despite these efforts, the offer seemed to hinge on a single reference from nursing home, which, while not negative, lacked detail due to my brief tenure there. This led to the withdrawal of my offer, leaving me unemployed and in financial distress. The experience was further exacerbated by the fact that I had already started making plans, including searching for accommodation near Aspen House, based on the assumption that the position was secure.

My qualifications include a Master’s in Nursing, a Bachelor's degree in Administration, additional qualifications in social and medical fields, and extensive experience as a Clinical Nurse. All of these credentials should have qualified me for the Deputy Manager role. Unfortunately, the recruitment process seemed to inadequately consider these qualifications and the other strong references provided.

Furthermore, I was subsequently offered a Night Nurse position, which does not align with my career aspirations or the role I initially applied for.

While I am not pursuing legal action, I hope that Aspen House will take this feedback seriously and work to improve its recruitment process to prevent similar issues for future candidates.

I’m far from despair😉and I believe the ability to navigate situations like this with maturity is what makes a good deputy manager😉 Nurses like me never give up 🙄 especially those with dual citizenship! We're twice as strong!👌

Aspen house - wonderful, warm and a safe place.

My mam's last year of life was here, she was nervous going in, she was frail, scared and had physical difficulties.

She was looked after very well. Her needs were met everyday. Her diginity was kept she never felt anything but safe. The nurses and carers were patient and understanding. They, although very busy, managed a quick natter to make my mam feel better. I could visit anytime I needed to. Always had any information I needed from the office.

All staff including the cooks, cleaners, admin staff all very friendly. My mam's room was bright, clean and warm. She took some things from home to make it feel like her home.

The menu was varied and covered any dietery needs she had. Staff would always keep something for later if my mam wasn't feeling very hungry.

The staff were also very kind to my children. I really couldn't ask for anymore from the staff at Aspen house.

Thank you very much Aspen house.
