I was shocked noticing how this place scores so poorly compared to their services and I can only explain it if they're coming from badly ill-tempered people.

I recently visited, and without going into too many details, one of the tests they provide -for free- (-not- all do) revealed a major health-threatening condition, for which they warmly rushed me to my GP or ER (which I did and the doctor confirmed the diagnosis). They repeated the tests multiple times for avoidance of doubt and soon I had virtually the entire staff around me to support and advice, with an empathy going a long way above and beyond being just top professionals. I couldn't possibly be happier (and -deeply- grateful!) about McParland.

What lovely people. I visited yesterday following a horrible experience at Heath Hill Surgery around the corner. Such a massive contrast in customer and patient care. The delightful pharmacist and her team showed genuine understanding and compassion for my situation. I left without the urgent medication I needed (thank you for nothing Heath Hill Surgery) but the kindness showed to me by the team at the pharmacy lifted my spirit and restored my faith in human nature. Thank you!

I have always used McParland in Crowthorne for all my prescriptions and other medicines. The staff are always in good spirits, helpful and friendly. I have found the counter staff are always on hand to help, and waiting times are as good as anywhere else. I wonder if perhaps the negative reviews left here previously are from some of the rude and impatient customers that i have witnessed myself, who seem to believe they are more important than everyone else. The staff deserve a medal for having to deal with such people.

I've had great experiences with this pharmacy., firstly, the covid booster service in December was really efficient and then today in a visit with my 18 month old. I took my child in having been told by GP I couldn't get an in-person appointment to check over a rash that nursery suspected as chicken pox. Having seen the marks reduce with Piriton we did not think it was chicken pox and the pharmacist was very helpful, seeing us quickly looking over my little one and putting our minds at rest that the marks were indeed a rash. Thank you.

Based on my own positive experiences I am surprised by some of the negative reviews for this long established local chemist. Over many years I have personally always found the staff helpful and friendly. I used the pharmacy recently, was served very quickly and received friendly helpful advice.

This used to be the best pharmacy in the local area. Now it's not. You are kept waiting ages, often the assistants downright ignore you at the counter. They frequently have not got the prescription medications you need and you have to go back. We are always being encouraged to support local shops, they SERIOUSLY need to up their game before I start going elsewhere!!!!!!!!!

I was prescribed 56 tablets (a regular prescription for hypertension, 8 weeks supply) and having waited a totally unreasonable time for the tablets to be prepared, I found I had been supplied with 21 tablets, from 2 different suppliers in at least 4 blister packages obviously cut off complete packs in the shop! I was told that the rest could be collected later. Totally bizarre and unacceptable way of making up and supplying drugs.
