GP had a very pleasant manner. I did feel listened to and was able to raise things I was worried about. However I was a bit alarmed that the details of the recent hospital treatments I have been having were added to my notes as I was in the appointment. It made me feel a bit insecure about how much was actually known about me. It also made for a long appointment, which was fine for me, but not for people waiting! Nothing was really resolved - it was a case of watch and wait!

Today I saw a doctor in whom I had confidence. My experience hasn't always made me feel confident. I was recently contacted by someone who said they were contacting me with regard to my blood pressure medication. I am not on blood pressure medication.
I received a text which said I had returned too early for a second blood test. I hadn't returned for a second blood test.
I went for a check up with someone who told me they couldn't take my blood pressure because they didn't have a large enough cuff.
I don't feel that I know what the qualifications are of the different people whom I see. I did ask once but the person I asked said they were not qualified to tell me what the qualifications were of a member of the team. I was baffled.

I recently attended an appointment about an ongoing problem I have raised previously more than once. On this occasion the practioner listened and explained the issues. He also had knowledge that linked 2 issues. He gave me a plan of treatment to move forward and deal with the issues. It was a thorough appointment. I felt more than satisfied with the outcome.

Registered here from 2018. Generally ok, but 1 of 3 long term repeat prescriptions was reduced to 1 month prescription instead of the 2 month for the other 2 items. This was inconvenient, so I asked them to increase the 1 item back to 2 months prescription, but instead they reduced all 3 items to 1 month prescription, saying this was practice policy.

Must admit I took this a bit personally, so I decided to switch practice and I am now back on a 2 month prescription for all 3 items and very impressed with the new surgery.

The telephone receptionists are always direct and efficient at the Beauchief and Totley Rise surgeries. Polite and friendly are not in their remit, but as long as they do their job, that’s important. It was great to meet the doctor at the Totley Rise surgery, he treated me with respect and also I felt like he cared about my problem, also important!

Was great nurse called Kelly who actually managed to get a blood sample for a change....1st time I usually have to go all the way to one of the hospitals to have them done as previous nurses have made up ridiculous excuses for their inadequacy, hope she's still there when I go for my next test....
