Extremely concerning experience at Sunbury Health Centre

My daughter has been suffering for over a year, during which we’ve had numerous appointments and repeated issues with referrals — the wrong referral has been sent four separate times. Despite asking on at least five occasions to speak with the practice manager, I’ve always been told they were “not in.”

Today, I went in to request a complaint form, submit a Subject Access Request (SAR), and ask for a brief summary of my daughter’s records. Shockingly, the receptionist handed me another child’s medical records — with the same date of birth as my daughter, but a completely different name. The notes included deeply sensitive information, including mention of social services involvement and safeguarding concerns.

This is a serious data protection and safeguarding breach, and it has left me deeply concerned about the way this practice handles patient information and care.

I had a great experience at the health center — I received my blood test results within 24 hours. Dr. Khan and Nurse Vickie were both incredibly kind and attentive. I’d definitely recommend them!

I agree with the last review, we’ve had a really positive experience with the surgery since registering 5 years ago and our GP and the team there have been really supportive with my little one when needed. I’ve always had a call back in the same morning when it’s been urgently requested and the same for
Appointments.
The surgery has always been clean and well
Organized and mostly all very friendly and helpful too.
As a worried first time mum at the early days of having my child they were very helpful indeed.

I’ve been coming to this GP for quite some time now, and the experience has consistently been positive. I’ve never had to wait too long for an appointment, which is a huge plus. The GPs are friendly, approachable, and always willing to help. Parking is also very convenient, with plenty of spaces available right outside the practice. Overall, a reliable and well-run GP.

Had been booked for physiotherapy and it's took 6 months to get an appointment and then only to be told it should have only taken 2weeks at the most.

Anita and Beattie were great, I had all my travel vaccinations (5 jabs) and scheduled perfectly, I want to appreciate the whole effort of the nurses and the office assistants who helped immensely

I wouldn’t even give 1 staff my son has been suffering with his adhd and autism for over a year we have been backwards to the doctors seen about 8-10doctors plus Iv rang the surgery up every day asking for a phone call, they keep making fake promises to get his medication and say they can’t give him medication till he 18 or any sleep medication now he 18 there still refusing him help, passing it to everyone else my son is servely depressed and can’t cope with life. My son asked in the appointment with dr Canniff to call me as I’m his mum she refused he then did an online form for her to contact me as she still hasn’t said in October next month . My son is begging for help they keep refusing or it’s down to mental health now they come back with it’s down the gp or go to a&e if he that bad we have done few times . I feel like my son life is nothing to them they made me feel like Iv failed as a parent . He a vulnerable young boy who is crying out for help . I will be taking further action in contacting my local MP . Everyone gos on about mental health is important where is the support and then you get told to wait up to two years . I lost my mum to suicide due to the doctors not helping. I am furious with the lack of help support , empathy the fact there doctors is a joke .

We moved to SHC after being disappointed with another local surgery. We are so glad we did - we couldn't be happier. I find their online appointment request system so efficient. No sitting for ages in a queue on the phone. Make a request at 8am, and I have always been called back by 9am. For my children, I have always received a same day appointment - often within a couple of hours. For myself and my husby, for anything we deemed 'urgent' it has always been a same day appointment, and for anything else we've been seen within a fortnight. I've even had same-day double appointments. I think this is more than reasonable - it's an excellent service. I know from speaking to the receptionist and doctors they have a personal mission to try their hardest to see everyone - what more could you ask for?
The staff - receptionists, nurses, paramedics and doctors have been nothing but professional, caring and helpful.
People always feel the need to speak out about one of grievances, but I honestly can't relate to any negative reviews. I can't recommend the surgery highly enough. Thanks for all you do for the community.
