Great little infirmary, friendly helpful staff, and looks really clean, organised and well maintained unlike some hospitals. Breath of fresh air after months visiting other places.

Arrived for an outpatient blood test, no other patients waiting room completely empty yet for some reason I'm still sitting waiting some 15 minutes past my appointment time while the staff have a nice chat and talk about what they are going to be doing this weekend. The ward may be fine but outpatients is a jokek

My visit to the minor injuries unit of the Infirmary is a pleasure to recount! I dropped in with a problem I was experiencing with my lower eyelid. The staff member at the reception desk was pleasant and very welcoming. My wait to be seen was just under one hour, which I found to be amazing in these days of a stretched health service. The nurse who attended to me was quite exceptional, from her caring, friendly manner, through to her examining of my eye and removal of an ingrowing eyelash, which was the cause of my eye irritation. She explained everything to me regarding the antibiotic cream I was prescribed, and also how to follow up if things didn’t improve inside of a few days. This is truly our wonderful NHS at its best, and I felt privileged today to be a part of their caring, efficient service. Thank you.

Went to X-Ray dept. No mask used by radiographer yet no fresh air in room. Was told not many people are ill who come to the X-Ray dept!!!! How odd for a hospital and how unprofessional considering the amount of frail elderly on the ward there.
