I am a psychiatrist in Los Angeles, and have had exceptional outcomes in patients that I have referred to Clear for treatment. They do a phenomenal job and really care about all of their patients. I highly recommend Clear for intensive treatment. There are so many programs out there and it is difficult to know which ones are solid, but time and time again, Clear has shown that they do amazing work- they provide smart and compassionate care, and this is what helps patients get better.

I was a victim of autism discrimination and grievance retaliation by Clear Behavioral Health. Clear Behavioral Health is also refusing to provide the license # of their therapist, Benjamin Peck, the person who violated my rights.

I use medical marijuana for the treatment of chronic pain. I've had 12 or 14 neck surgeries; I am a legitimate user of marijuana. Moreover, two court cases, both state and federal, have codified my rights to use marijuana for the treatment of chronic pain. The State of California recognized marijuana as a legitimate treatment for chronic pain.

Benjamin Peck and Sara Ghassemy have CONSISTENTLY violated my legal rights under state and federal law. They were required to process a grievance, and they refuse to do so. They were required not to discriminate against me on the basis of my perceived difficultness with extensive citation of rules and laws, because that is related to my autism, which is not only a protected class, but also requires you to accommodate me. Benjamin and Sara were required to provide licenses to me, and they have still refused to do so.

Simply put, Clear Behavioral Health is breaking the law, breaking the law repeatedly, and punishing anyone for speaking up. I STRONGLY SUGGEST DO NOT GO HERE. IF YOU ARE A PATIENT HERE, GET OUT NOW. THEY WILL RETALIATE AGAINST YOU THE MOMENT YOU ASSERT YOUR RIGHTS.

If you are a victim of discrimination and retaliation like me, know that it isn't your fault and you have rights. Contact the California Mental Health Board and the California Civil Rights Department (CRD) if they violate your rights. Note that they cannot retaliate against you for threatening a claim nor for filing one.
