I highly recommend Avalon if you are seeking treatment for either or both addiction or mental health treatment. I personally had a long struggle with addiction, depression and anxiety. The services and treatment they provided allowed me to heal in what I felt was a safe and comfortable space. All the staff from the RAs to the clinicians to the doctors and even the maids were so welcoming and I believe truly had my best interest in heart. Not only have I noticed this for myself but also with my peers who stayed at Avalon during my time as well. I have seen them treat some cases that were extremely difficult and they did so with precision and care and I was able to witness these people that on some level I thought were hopeless actual heal, get stabilized and come out the other side. I personally am one of these individuals as well and I am forever grateful for the help Avalon offered me.

They are accredited in both mental health and substance use making it a fantastic option for individuals suffering from co-occurring disorders. By the time I got to Avalon I was completely hopeless. I was suffering from major depression and had been self-isolating for more than a year, alone in my despair. My previous efforts to get better in treatment had always failed.
When my family begged me to give Avalon a try, I went reluctantly; for them and not myself, knowing with full certainty that nothing could change for me.
After a few months, I can honestly say that I was wrong.
The people who work here are amazing. Not just the clinical team (although my therapist was amazing!), but every single member of the staff played a significant role in making my recovery possible. They are all patient, caring and understanding. Their care allowed me to start trusting the process, and that’s when the magic happened. Slowly but surely, I came to believe that I can change. I can feel whole, I can feel good. I am starting to believe in a brighter, more confident future. So I am leaving a different person, I have hope now.

More like a luxury wellness vacation for adults who want to pay 30,000 for it. Great rooms, good food, views, activities, hot tubs, cleaning services ect. Kinda feels like camp. I had a good experience but they didn’t recognize I had ocd and it took me going to another program to learn that I did and get proper treatment. This place has nice people and was super fun and relaxing and did help me learn different coping skills. However, for intense mental health help I would go somewhere else.

I was able to tour Avalon Malibu and sat in the intake meeting with a family member. The living areas were beautiful and the accommodations were above par. During the tour, our questions were welcomed and we felt right at home with the staff and facilities. We already hear wonderful feedback about the experience and knowledgable staff. Needless to say, we are eager to see the end result with such a successful and motivating start.
