During our holiday last week, my daughter became ill. I contacted the main branch to see if they could see her. I called at 2pm and was offered an appointment at the Seahouses practice at 3.30pm. The receptionist was polite and helpful and the Dr (Dr Hills) was fantastic. Wish I had such a lovely GP at my local practice.

I am resubmitting my review to alternative sources due to it suddenly and bizarrely being removed from the NHS website after I went through a significant amount of liasing with the NHS body who control the site. Clearly it was removed after some time anyway, clearly believing that I wouldn't notice, and clearly in the intended best interests of the GP surgery rather than what should be far more important and that is obviously any potential patients who have to suffer what I experienced at this Seahouses Surgery. I attended the surgery with my partner who had an appointment. An elderly gentleman was chatting to the receptionist when we entered so my partner waited patiently for them to finish. After five to ten minutes of waiting she politely asked the receptionist to check her in so she could sit down. The receptionist immediately got angry and verbally berated my partner for interrupting their conversation. My partner made it clear that she should not speak to her in such a way and she had waited long enough. My partner went and sat down because her GP appointment was far more important than the bad attitude of this abhorrent receptionist. The receptionist waited until the elderly man left and cleary that all potential witnesses were not present before storming out of the reception office and getting immediately in my partner's face waving her finger very close while my partner was sat down. My partner stayed calm as she could despite this ridiculous provocation and made it very clear we would be making a complaint as soon as we saw the GP. We did so and after that, despite my serious health issues complicating matters, we only made appointments and contact with Belford practice attached to the same practice. Our complaint was dealt with by the overall practice manager who made all the excuses she could and brazenly accused my partner of lying. Clearly here professional relationships are compromised by personal friendships. We gave up a pointless cause and instead left a review here. I made my review a long time ago and made it very clear this had nothing to do with Belford and only applied to Seahouses. A significant period later when the head GP retired, almost immediately we received a very aggressive and pointed letter from seemingly the new head. He told us both, despite the time period that had passed and the effect changing GP from the very limited options available would undoubtedly have on my health, that if didn't remove my review he would remove us as patients. He was very much aware that I had and was still going through a two year period of extreme harassment, but he still felt it appropriate to behave in such an insolent and disrespectful manner towards us both. I refused and changed GP ourselves to a practice that fully respects it's patients and does not protect it's staff whatever their behaviour. I highly recommend avoiding, but even if you don't, I do hope you do not experience what we did. Patients are more important than staff relationships!!

Arriving late in the Seahouses branch of the Belford practice to talk about a serious problem with a friend and I was greeted by a most rude and unpleasant receptionist. I was told to be quiet and wait, and subsequently told that I could not write down the details while the receptionist was busy. On complaining to the practice manager about my experience an "investigation" was undertaken. President Trump is not the only person with 'alternative facts'. The response was filled with errors and justifications for the rudeness. The original problem was dealt with quickly by the member of the medical stuff I subsequently spoke to. The administration team though....

UPDATED REVIEW,PLEASE READ IN FULL.Awful receptionist, already complained about her in the past.Today she crossed the line:came out from her office and when straight for my face waving her finger. She was telling me how rude I was(funny isn't it)because I dared to rush her while she finish to talk with a man who was just chatting with her and about to leave from the main door!.An absolute disgrace!Second time will be the last time as well,I will do whatever I can to sort this situation out.For the way she scream and act the local fish market would be more appropriate. Must say she did this while I was the only one in the surgery and ,unfortunately, no cameras.I hope they will not found any excuse for her,I will update this review after they answer my complaint.UPDATE Well, the Practice Manager send me this Friday her answer to my complaint:a disgrace over and over again! She didn't speak with the next door Practice whom witness the erratic behaviour of the Receptionist ,she did spoke with the elderly gentleman that seem have forgotten i let him pass in front of me and i try to speak just when he was about to leave. No,he remember me coming in and try to speak while he was there...i Well done to them for involving this man in my complaint! Clearly they don't know what privacy means. Once gain this PM said that she she apologise but at the same time try to give me a 50% of the blame?HILARIOUS!The receptionist even stated that she always try to help me?funny enough i had the misfortune to speak with her two time and both time were unpleasant so i don't see THE HELP! I will now escalated my complaint with the NHS and Ombudsman ,is an utter disgrace someone like this Receptionist works with sensible data about me and my personal health issues I will not let go till i receive apologies and actions must be taken about this "lady".The PM stated that SHE SPOKE AT LENGTH with the receptionist ?She already did that when my partner had to complaint about the same "lady" inappropriate behaviour and that clearly DIDN'T WORK! What a joke.I must stress that the Belford Surgery is very good, lovely people ,amazing nurse.also try to imply that her reaction was ok because the man remember me coming and try to SPEAK?Imply that i was lying without listen to the witness ?!It is a shame the Doctors are always so busy to bother have a look who is the first face people have to see before getting to see them

I would suggest anyone to read the one star reviews and their beautiful raw honesty . Instead of desperately trying to get honest reviews to be removed this Surgery should start to fire people ! Disgrace !!!
