Dreadful place , Rehabilitation for my mother in law following a stroke which has resulted in a bleed on the brain ,clots on her lungs and various other issues , They are trying to discharge without further MRI , Not one update on her condition in over 3 weeks despite repeated calls and requests.
We were told she would need a hospital bed downstairs and told to move out furniture due to mobilty issues , a few days later and apparently now she can come home and use the stairs unaided . She is 87 and has terrible confusion. Would avoid at all costs if possible

No care package has been put in place at all and we are constantly being patronised by the staff.
The teams do not communicate with each other.
The vast majority of patients families seem unhappy with the care provided.
I must state that I work for the NHS so it gives me no pleasure leaving a review like this but I'm appalled and would not want any other families to go through what we are currently facing.

Mum is 88, suffered a serious fall resulting in broken bones, and has dementia. She was transferred from RBH with a delirium infection, unable to eat or drink without assistance. 4 hrs later she had a temperature that I was told was probably due to be transported with too many blankets! I asked another nurse if the temperature is likely to stem from the infection, she turned her back, walked away saying 'i can't answer that, we are not doctors'. I explained mum lip reads, a masked nurse answered 'well she'll have problems in here then!'
I spent a further hour sponging her down and giving her water before she was given paracetamol by which time it was 11pm so i had to leave. During those first few hours the attitude of the majority of staff has been unnecessarily abrasive, rude and ignorant. Bad eye contact, resentful communication and zero empathy for an elderly, confused, frightened lady in a lot of pain.

An old school community hospital located on a single level unlike multi-storey hospitals like the Royal Berks. Visitor car parking is free and is located at the back of the hospital though I wouldn't try using it as an alternative to the station car park. Access to the reception at the front of hospital is via a long corridor passing by some very clean toilets. The staff were very friendly too.

Took both of my kids here after they would born for their baby check ups. The facilities and staff were excellent. It was extremely quiet which was great for new born babies. The car park is good and there are always spaces.

Wokingham Hospital ? was very good excellent. Had to have my feet done. A very busy place with patients in & out at different departments. They have 2 wards there Ascot (for the men) Windsor (for the ladies), these wards are for rehab. They also have speech therapy, padotiry plus many other clinics. There's also a bus & rail service near by.

My 89 year old father has been moved to this "hospital" from RBH for Rehabilitation. He has early stage dementia but has issues with mobility. He has been there 2 weeks and twice been moved back to RBH. I visited him this afternoon outside in 34c he was wheeled out and was made to wear a mask, not sure why as we were outside there was no water for him and I knew from his state of confusion he was dehydrated. This is basic care for elderly people fluids in this heat is essential. Eventually she let me give him one of the bottles of drink I had brought in for him. I am completely disgusted with the care or lack of it he has had. I will be removing him as soon as I possibly can.
