Green bins taken away by council today because I have an extra bin and they needed me to populate a form to renew the extra bin for a year. Yet they have taken BOTH bins away. Without any warning whatsoever ever. They won’t reply to a complaint until 3 days and they won’t accept a report for a missing bin until 48 hours.

I have 2 children under 2 and a lot of nappies. I’m furious. We received no letter or email about the renewal for the bins and the personalised labels on our bins have obviously gone now too.

Disgusting Bracknell council. Thanks for making a sleep deprived mum of 2’s life even harder.

Bracknell is a nice area, but wow, this council. Thieves and liars. I was issued a PCN despite having paid and displayed a valid ticket. The council claimed that the ticket wasn't clearly visible. Conveniently their photos of my car were taken from about 2 metres away, meaning you couldn't see it in the photos. I challenged the PCN, uploading photo evidence of my valid ticket, and received a generic rejection. I followed up and received a more snarky, rude and condescending rejection, implying that I was stupid and didn't follow the rules or pay attention to the parking signs. The thing is, I suspect that they know I'm right, but because I didn't take a photo of the ticket in my car as evidence before walking away (because who would? Well I guess me from now on, lesson learned), they repeat the claim that it wasn't there. At this point I frankly don't feel like going back to them again and getting another snarky rejection. And of course they know that the average person will end up paying the fine out of pressure or dejection since they're not going to fork out hundreds or thousands of pounds in legal fees to hire a solicitor and go to small claims court. If they're happy to lie about this and extort money out of people, it makes me wonder what else they're happy to do to get what they want. I suspect that they know what they're doing in such cases, and that this isn't the first time this has happened, nor will it be the last. Enjoy your stolen £25 because I don't feel like ever coming back to Bracknell now.

i IGot excellent service, lady put me in the right direction where I had to go.
When I got to the department the lady was very very helpful, even helped me with my paperwork.
Found the building ? very clean and tidy, plus ➕ the staff worked with a ☺ smile ☺on their faces.
There is a car ? park ? outside of the offices where you can park, plus ➕ there is a ♿ disabled ? parking ? space right outside the building ?.
Also there is a local bus ? service that stops ? near by, or failing that you have a local ? train ? Station ? as well.
Or if not you can take a taxi ? in, where there are ?taxi ranks nearby.

Generally good experiences.
The areas we the public ( are still allowed to) use are generally well-kept and I have never had any problems with comunications or provision of services.....what I cannot understand though, is that I am categorically not allowed to run a business from my home, yet it seems that whoever wants to can park whatever fleet of work lorries or vans ,often liveried, wherever they like in the street for as long as they like and cause as much disturbance as they like loading those vans or lorries often at anti-social hours of the day. How is that fair.

Useless. Over the course of living in their area, we’ve been charged a council tax fee twice in one month and then refunded without any communication. We now moved out and were sent a letter mid august that we were due a refund. Called up last week - yes all coming through will be with us by Friday. We called back this week, woman on the phone said the refund was approved as we speak. Still no money back!! Their website is clunky to navigate and council tax account doesn’t even work online. Whole staff needs replacing, don’t know where they’re finding these people.
