I took my son to see Dr Nim today he was absolutely fantastic with him. So where the reception staff. In a time where doctors surgarys are under so much pressure I cannot fault them.

I have to often go to this surgery as opposed to the one on my doorstep belonging to the same group. That is frustrating, but I understand why. They are trying to provide a service for a large demography over an even larger geographical footprint. That is the downside of surgery groups becoming too big and not good for customer service! To those other people leaving a review: if you are running low on your prescription medication - it is not the surgeries/Drs fault you are unable to manage your meds. You can set a reminder on your phone to order 2 weeks before your drugs run out or even better. Order them the day when you realise you only have 2 weeks left - I do, I can manage to do that... Also, GP surgeries are not technically a part of the NHS. They provide NHS services a big fat difference when using the utter drivel of a statement that "you pay their wage". I work for the NHS and fair enough if you say that to me or my colleagues (but then, by virtue of paying taxes myself - am I self employed? Hmmm...). Grow up, take responsibility for yourself and do not expect molly-cuddling. If you have an issue with the immediate face to face care you receive then by all means, lay in, but not when it boils down to your inability to look after yourself!

My eye got infected few days ago, it was red swollen itchy and came with watery discharge. The surgery I registered was fully booked and I was referred to this surgery. This was my first time to see doctor in the UK and I only briefly know the details of appointment booking and drug collection from the sharing of Hong Kong Youtubers. So you can imagine my worries and the importance of a good experience. I were grateful that Dr. Rohail Male Malick was a very friendly, patient and professional medical staff, he listened to my conditions patiently and kindly suggested that I could buy the drugs directly from a pharmacy for cheaper price. He also explained to me the use of drugs in details . It was a very good experience for me and I thank Dr. Malick very much.

The surgery feels a little run down. Only went here for a blood test and the nurse was very nice and friendly.

I don't normally do this, but I feel compelled to share my recent disheartening experience at Boundary House, with a particular emphasis on the insensitive communication of a doctor, especially when dealing with a sick child. What struck me was the doctor's lack of consideration, not only in her dismissive attitude but also in her disregard for the most basic aspects of a thorough examination.

My four-year-old daughter had been unwell for the past four days, showcasing persistent symptoms such as a high temperature exceeding 40 degrees, coupled with a troubling cough and wheezy breathing. Despite our persistent efforts to secure an appointment, it wasn't until late afternoon that we finally got one.
The doctor's approach from the outset was concerning. Despite clear symptoms, she failed to conduct a proper examination, neglecting crucial checks on my daughter's chest, throat, and ears. This lack of thoroughness left us uneasy about the quality of care being provided. What added to the frustration was the doctor's decision to bring my daughter out into the freezing cold for an assessment that, given what has been done at the practice, could have easily been done over the phone.

Furthermore, given our daughter's suspected asthma, 111 had advised against administering Nurofen. When we explained that Nurofen was the only medication effectively reducing her temperature, the doctor's dismissive comment was not only unhelpful but also distressing: "If it doesn't kill her, she will grow up to be stronger." This lack of consideration for our concerns had a profound and damaging effect, especially considering the age of the patient. Such a statement, delivered without the expected professionalism and empathy in a medical setting, could have long-lasting psychological implications for a four-year-old.

When we inquired about the possibility of antibiotics, the doctor initially advised against it, citing concerns about their potential impact on my daughter's immune system. However, when I sought alternative courses of action, she ended up writing a prescription for antibiotics, leaving me perplexed and eroding my confidence in the medical guidance provided.

To add to the disappointment, after the consultation, we were abruptly asked to leave, with the doctor citing other patients to attend to. This abrupt dismissal only added to our frustration and raised serious questions about the overall quality of care at Boundary House surgery.

It is essential for medical practitioners to offer consistent, well-informed advice and to engage with patients' questions and concerns in a respectful manner. The lack of coherence in the doctor's recommendations and her dismissive response only deepened our frustration and heightened our reservations about the quality of care at this facility.
I hope that shedding light on these issues encourages a re-evaluation of patient care practices at Boundary House.

Most receptionists will lie and tell you that your prescription will be done and ready for you to collect at your chosen pharmacy but that won’t be true. If you’re like me and run out of medication out of nowhere then you’ll definitely want to try another surgery. I can’t even tell you how many times the Drs and receptionists have lied to me that my urgent medication will be ready for the same day when in fact it was never approved. They genuinely don’t understand the word “urgent” or the words “I’ve completely run out”. I’m currently at the pharmacy to see if my medication is ready (as the receptionist once again promised me it would be there today) and BIG SHOCK, it’s not here or been approved. So typical. This means I’m forced to go another day of morphine which I wouldn’t be on unless I needed it and if these Drs felt even a fraction of the pain I have every second of the day they would lose their minds.
The only reason this review isn’t a 1 star is because there’s two receptionists and one doctor that are surprisingly really kind.

Informed of the incorrect location for appointment and then ignored by receptionist as she was “going home” and then after 2 hours told by the doctor I’d missed the appointment and I couldn’t be seen, which was totally inaccurate. Therefore my very sick 5 year old was kept waiting and not given the care he needed despite being categorised as urgent care required! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
