My dad was with this care Company for a very short time before having to go into care but the difference they made to his life was unbelievable. After struggling with previous care company we were of the opinion that they are all the Same . How wrong we were !
The carers are all amazing and don’t just “ do a job “ they really care .
Dad went from very sad and confused with different carers coming in all the time and doing very little with him ( saying dad refused food , refused to eat etc) to getting his spark back , being showered and dressed every day and spoken to like a person , the house was clean and we were communicated to daily . Only wish dad had had these lovely people in his life longer x

Universal Care Agency has been looking after an elderly relative of mine for the last 3 months now.
I highly recommend them as we have seen a real good change in him since they took over his care.
The staff have been great and gone over and above their duties daily with him, their care and attention is second to none, and I can't speak highly enough of them.
I highly recommend their services to others.

Universal Care provide a very high level of service. They go above and beyond what is expected and ensure that in addition to his care package my relative has companionship and is treated with respect and dignity.

A lovely family run agency, you really feel that they care. They are providing domiciliary care for an Uncle of mine at the moment and he's very happy with how things are going 🙂 Thank you Universal Care Agency.

UCA was a lovely caring compassionate care agency, each carer treated my grandad like he was one of their own relatives, the management of UCA had a great caring ethos and role modelled all you would want for care in the community care.

Edit 2020:

I am 100% certain that it was you company. I remember speaking to you personally on the phone.

Your claim to take these things very seriously is obviously false in my case as we spoke about the issues for weeks on end.

Why you have decided to respond to this so so far after the fact is odd to me.

I really do hope that you can do better in future.

If I could give this agency a minus score I would

When caring for my wife, they were really really awful

there is so much I can say and so many examples of how they were awful I just dont have the energy to write them all out.

Their organisation was terrible, they often never showed up or showed up hours later which meant that routine and medication had been missed. The staff were often friendly, but since they were all basically in their first week they had had no training. They had not equipment, even basic things like gloves.

They seemed unable to comprehend medication

when I complained to the employer, they assured me for weeks on end that they would rectify the issues - nothing changed. The owner was on the phone to me crying that they couldnt help, which did make me sad - but it did not satisfy the care needs of my wife

to give an example:
the first time I braved leaving the house and my care duties to go to the local shop - i left my wife seated on the sofa - the carer would most likely have to have just sat and chatted with her

when i came back my wife was noticeably shaken and upset - i asked if everything was ok and if anything had happened she replied just a wobble. The carer explained that my wife had been to the toilet sitting on the sofa

This was not a shock - my wife was wearing pads at this point

the issues only became clear as the carer was leaving and my wife burst into tears. She had explained that she needed the toilet, the carer had panicked and incorrectly tried to transfer her - this resulted in her being dropped to the floor (bruised all up one side). They had then dragged her back onto the sofa and let her go to the toilet there anyway.

My wife was scared of them doing any handling in the future
