If you could rate zero stars I would have. My dad arrived here and I was told prior by DRs, nurses, mental health professionals, social workers that he had no capacity. He was very vulnerable and a danger to himself and the public and most likely experiencing psychosis. Being sectioned was the best thing for him, and I agreed. Within 3 days they’re asking to discharge him (no talk therapy, medication… Nothing!). I argued the decision as I’d been to visit him myself and he was still in the same frame of mind just sedated. The following day my dad rang me and said all his belongings had been stolen from his room after I’d brought him lots of snacks, vapes, toiletries. I rang the ward straight away and asked if they could look into this and to contact me back with an update… I never heard a thing, I called them back days later and the person who I spoke to had no knowledge of this and said they’d ask someone to ring me back. Fast forward to today (6 days of him being sectioned) I got a call to say he’d been released. No call to myself prior bear in mind he had no phone/money and was miles away from home. He refused to call a taxi because he’s too paranoid to get in a taxi and refuses to go to his home address due to him being assaulted right before he was sectioned under section 2. I’m now having to file a missing persons report as my dad is no where to be found. I can’t express how let down I feel, they have a duty of care and they’ve done nothing to safeguard him. No therapy, medication so he was basically a prisoner for the duration of his stay. I’m going to be taking this further. If you have a choice please avoid, I wish I’d fought harder for him after reading all the terrible reviews on here.

Poor place staff are lazy you ask for something and they do not want to help they are always sitting on their phones I was discharged to a hotel when I got to the hotel they didn't have a clue about my booking they gave me tablets in a carrier bag which is dangerous for someone who is suicidal Dr pandya is more interested in discharging you than helping you

If I could add a zero stars I would. Dr Asher discharged me from a section 2 after only a week, attempted to discharge me after only 4 days. Even though I was highly and actively suicidal and I was not safe. My next of kin and partner were both telling the doctor I would attempt again and they could not keep me safe. She does not listen to your thoughts, or concerns. I ended up back on a section 2 after only a week because I was not safe from myself. She judges everyone instantly for having EUPD, and if you do have this diagnosis your other diagnoses will get ignored. She calls everyone with EUPD an attention seeker, revolving door patient and unhelpable. Do not reccomend staying here if you can at all help it. It should be reviewed instantly and Dr Asher in my opinion should be struck off. She does not have her patients safety and best interests at heart. The care assistants are generally lovely and helpful. Nursing staff are 50/50, some are great, others not.

Would give it zero stars if I could.Nurse/deputy manager on Eagleton got me arrested on the 25th for section 18 assault and Dr Kamal discharged me which I found out at the police station off the sarge. Discharging me when he knew I was hearing voices really bad telling me the staff were going to kill me and since being out I have overdosed and cut my face bad. They starved me for 4 days, not even asking me if I wanted any food. Was too scared to leave my room so I peed in the sink and the police know what they have done and I really can’t wait to go to the police station next week to answer my bail as I know as well as the police I’m definitely not going to be charged for the so called section 18 and I have sent a report to the CQC and they have got back to me and I know they will contact the police as well.

Absolutely disgusting place and staff, my fathers currently in here and he said the staff are arrogant and uncaring and there are people trying to sell class A drugs to him and asking him to go on runs to collect them to bring them into the facility!! I will be writing into the papers and mayor of the town today and reporting this to get this matters sorted!! The place needs condemning as well as the staff!! This is a disgrace of a system and shouldn't be happening a tall!! Patients aren't being looked after as they should be due to staff just letting the place run its self!! If use read this just know I'm coming for use in legal ways and use will !! Be accountable for this bizarre lack of care for people who really need to be looked after and are coming out worse or getting worse whilst in your care!!!!

Was a patient here a number of years ago, being admitted after almost dying from weight loss caused by severe ocd. My body was covered in burns and scars and I was left permanently disfigured and with debilitating physical health problems. Most of the ward staff/nurses were uncaring and arrogant, and Dr Hackett told me ocd wasn't a mental illness, asking why I liked cleaning so much. He also suggested I might have antisocial personality disorder due to me being hostile towards my family on account of their support of my v*olent mother and her boyfriend's repeated attempts at having a s*xual relationship with me. Of course, suffering from a crippling anxiety disorder/being unable to leave the house/almost starving to death are all the classic symptoms of psychopathy

Overall they were like a bunch of mindless pack animals gaslighting themselves into believing the patients were the problem rather than their own lack of understanding/ability to provide treatment

To be honest and I'm a honest person cause I don't ever do a review on any sort of place I have stayed or ever been to visit it's been my most beneficial addmition in adult services and I have been able to express how I feel without feeling judged. My key nurse (E) has been amazing and she will always make time to talk even when the ward is most busiest like all nursing staff. It has been a settled stay whilst being here on the ward but every ward as I know from my own experience has alot of unwell patients and its not going to always be quite and settled all the time. As for like new patients who have never been in the service before it can be difficult to understand other people why things happen and I know it can be I guess scary and feel unusual because it's very different. The reality of mental health is so much more than it can seem. But my stay so far here has been very positive some stresses but that is why I have come in to receive help and to understand myself better . I am extremely grateful for all the help and support that Keats ward has shown and validated me. I think people are always quick to jump to the negatives but if the positives out way the negatives then I think that's what should be focused on. 😀

Great front line staff becareful though they sent me out on the streets. Put me on ward next to a lady who worked there (safeguarding)He used to bully and abuse me. Also I was stabbed twice. Attacked in the communal shower. It was a drug den it was accepted. Running battles in the corridors with police and inmates. Staff wouldn't admit me when I'd slit my wrists and took 60 pills I was told it's ok he's fine. No after care. Staff sleeping wallking through corridors with nhs pillows and bedding. Rewarding of bad behaviour to keep the peace. Also another safe guarding issue I used to work as a support worker a disabled gent I looked after was on the Ward again I issued this to staff and management it was ignored. Even with my diagnoseses they sent me out onto the streets with no address of roof other my head. Aftercare team come to your house ask questions don't help u settle don't help with anything. I asked could I have the Caribbean meals which at all other units due to my horrendous illnesses I was allowed. I was told I was that ethic group I'm white British why should I and wasn't allowed. Horrendous duty of care, safeguarding issues, I know many that aren't with us due to the lack of professionalism duty of care to others and massive safeguarding issues. If the patient had no support system nor family this place will walk all over them. Actually drove my family away to issollate me. Even more I'm lucky to be here please please nhs get in this place and sack them it's horrendous at the price of Salford people with learning difficulties and mental health. One side caters for men from manchester they have there own suite shower bathroom. Salford people have no toilets but communal and communal showers that's where drugs are taken People are attacked. Abused the lot I'm putting this as this place needs to changed for salford for mental health services for people who are no longer here families lives devastated but people get large sums of money at the top but clearly don't follow nor get near the foundations of what the nhs was built on. Chauser I'm led to believe have great staff great for helping the staff at the bottom. The beds and reresettling staff shocking literally killing people without pressing a trigger. Management level doctor level and nurses level massive misconduct issues safeguarding the lot .
