Please notice when looking at these reviews how old they are....some are ancient and not representative of this excellent practice. I'm editing my review as I've had brilliant service from Jenny on the phone today. She went above and beyond to sort my issues.......I've always been very happy with the staff, doctors and nurses at this practice. The only reason I havent given it 5 stars is because you cannot prebook appointments. You always have to ring at 8.15 in a morning which is difficult for patients like myself with numerous chronic conditions. However the repeat prescription service is brilliant. I always order by email over the weekend and before the end of Monday everything is approved and sent to pharmacy

I personally can't fault the clinical and clerical staff at Springfields. I moved myself and my son here from a terrible surgery (voted the worst in Warrington this year) following an incident that led to him being hospitalised due to negligence. I can honestly say I've had nothing but a positive experience at Springfields Medical Centre. I think so many of these reviews giving low stars are expecting miracles and failing to recognise that the NHS is under a lot of pressure. *Every* surgery across the UK struggles with the ratio of patients to appointments available - this isn't the fault of the staff, especially those answering our calls. Yes, it can be a struggle to get an appointment, but for things that are not urgent, you have to be realistic and use the other routes available to you - as you do at any surgery these days. The introduction of Anima at Springfields has been really positive, I feel. It's allowed me, a full-time working single mum, to be able to make requests and sort medication etc. in my own time, rather than calling at 8am. I've personally never struggled to get an appointment for my little boy when he's needed one, and for anything I have going on, I tend to complete an Anima request and am always offered a suitable route to be assessed, in a reasonable timeframe. All the staff (clinical and clerical) I've ever spoken to have been friendly and professional, and I don't feel the reviews here are reflective of the experience of a lot of people with reasonable expectations. The level of care my son and I have received at this surgery has been second to none, and the willingness of everyone to help can't be faulted. Thank you for all you do for my little family 💙

I've just came out of hospital after having screws and bolts put in my back meaning I can't walk or drive so I rang my doctor to see if they could do me a script for my meds as I running out. I was on the phone for 45mins it keeps saying I'm number 2 in the line then it says I'm number 1 in line . Then they said they can't answer your call at the moment and hung up on me.they only started taking calls at 10.00 am. Pathetic service now I know why people get annoyed 😠 terrible service...

I went to Widnes walk in centre with breathing problems, Widnes did try to stabilise me but unfortunately they were unsuccessful so I was sent to A&E Warrington who I felt totally let me down.
I then rang Springfield St as I needed medication.
I managed to see Dr Cox who was absolutely brilliant and I can't thank him enough. I would also like to thank Pam for her help.

Worst GP in Warrington. Provides subpar service, receptionists think they're entitled to treat people in a rude manner over the phone and in person. I find the first point of contact lousy in number of occasions. I can tell they're just there for the job. They think they are providing care when they are being combative, example I called them at 13:28pm they seriously asked me to call back at 13:30pm because before 13:30pm its only for urgent matter. Literally 2 minutes. What do you call this service? They shouldnt be allowed to get away with this sort of thing but obviously no one cares in that practice.

Worst GP in Warrington. They never have appointments available and always sending me to a Walk in Centre no matter if it's about me or my baby or if I call 8am, it's unbelieveble. I can never trust or count on them. It's sad.

Doctors and nurses etc are brilliant, and always have been throughout the thirty-odd years we have been on the books, no matter the changes in personnel over the years. However when it comes to phoning to get blood test results I can never seem to get through. Tried three times today, was put in a queue, stayed on the line for ages but was never picked up. Telephone services may be the way forward for GP surgeries
but they will only work if there are sufficient people available to answer the phone.
