Absolutely fantastic day here with family when visiting the island. The place is huge and there's so much to see and explore, you can take your time going round. I wish signs and directions were easier to see and follow. Cute shop, nice cafe however more child friendly food on offer would be good. Very fresh meals, we saw them being made. Would definitely recommend and return.

What a beautiful garden. The majority is wheelchair accessible which was tried and tested by one member in our party who has a power chair that is midwheel for stability. They tried grass paths, gravel, tarmac slopes etc and had no trouble, they didn't fancy trying out the stairs. We saw stunning flowers from Turkish Sage to myriads of Echium flower spikes 0.5-4m in height. Stunning.

As we arrived a lady was being collected by ambulance but how the staff had managed her care was impeccable, her privacy was of the primary importance as was her dignity.

50 50 on our visit. If you have someone with you that can't walk down steps then do not visit. Lift not working. Lady on till had no idea how to operate the till and could not refund her mistake. It took 25 minutes just to gain entrance to the garden when there were only 2 people in the queue before us! Apart from staff clearly needing training and no lift, I would recommend visiting the gardens if you are able-bodied and have the patience of a saint.

Disappointed and could be maintained better. Most plants didn’t have name tags. Spotted some beautiful citrus, fig varieties and the grapes(grapes seemed sad with dead babies). Expected some kitchen gardening, but absolutely none

After reading many a review of this place, I was very disappointed. It seemed incredibly under managed. Very little signage to guide you around the gardens. Weeds everywhere!! The glass house was appalling. The lilly pond was dreadful. Very poorly kept and seem very tired. I was not impressed at all. The breakfast omelette was nice, though, sitting on the terrace. It seems to all be totally under funded and is a faded glory. Get some volunteers in!!!

Stunning gardens a joy to walk through all the areas. Lots of seating dotted around for rest and to enjoy the scenery. A lively little cafe, shop and plant stall (of which I purchased the most gorgeous vanilla nemesis) 🍦. I didn't go into the hot house but apparently it wasn't too good sadly 😞. I even saw a lizard enjoying the sun 🦎. Fabulous 😍

Good value visit for how long you are likely to spend here! Lovely variety of plants and flowers and an ideal spot for some photography, keen eyes will spot many different insects thriving in the plant life! Such a relaxing, sensory experience with the nearby sea breeze, rustling of leaves, buzzing of bumblebees and bright colours everywhere around you. It was great to just disconnect and get lost in the natural environment for a couple hours.
