I was referred to Newmedica Nottingham by my optician who said excellent things about this clinic, which were 100% true.

The process was very efficient and I had an initial assessment within a week with the operation a few days later. I was given a booklet which provided enough detail for me to understand what the procedure would be. From the initial contact by phone to my dealings with the people in the clinic I was treated very professionally and with lots of respect and care. After my cataract operation I was contacted the next day to check everything was OK. I was advised that I could use the emergency number at any time if needed. I felt that everyone who dealt with me put me at the centre of their role and treated me as a real person rather than a number. I have now been discharged for one eye as I had both of my eyes done.

The clinic is in a modern building which is comfortable and run efficiently staffed by people who are there to help. It’s an impressive set up and I highly recommend them. They’re all amazing!

In addition to everything else, the staff upstairs are super friendly and welcoming.

My special thanks to the doctor who did both of my eyes and got my vision back with her magical hands.

Like everyone the thought of having an eye operation was very daunting for me.
My optician recommendation Newmedica, and from walking in to their reception to seeing the specialist everyone was so friendly and helpful it totally put me at ease.
Now four days after having a cataract removed I cannot recommend Newmedica enough. The operation was totally painless and the improvement in my sight is remarkable I should have had this done years ago. The aftercare is excellent with a next day telephone follow up and a 24/7 telephone available to anyone needing help following their procedure. Thanks Newmedica and their remarkable staff.

The preparation for my cataract removal operation was thorough and Stephen was very helpful in settling my nerves regarding the operation.

The removal of the cataract was done very carefully and the procedure was successful.

Amazing and wonderful facility. Both myself and my wife have recently had cataract surgery on both our eyes. The whole processes from start to finish have been exemplary, with both the amazingly patient consultant together with his support staff being nothing other than fully supportive, caring and professional. In my wife’s case, who was acutely short sighted- minus 19, the outcome has been miraculous. Both of us are virtually specs free for the first time in over 70 years.
