Just like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Hinchingbrooke, had a visit to A&E, for their attention sincere care and friendly relaxed way of going about things.
Also big thanks to the ambulance crew, although did not need their lift to the hospital, the way they made me feel relaxed and able to get across my problem and their sound advice, which I followed.
You may have to wait a while, not the only person with a problem, but never forgotten and you do get there.
Once again thank you all.

The medical and support staff have all the pressures of the NHS yet still managed a very good, caring service. Many thanks to Mr G, the Plastics consultant and his theatre staff. And all the admitting nurses and support staff. Teamwork in action.

If your thinking of having your baby here, don't. We had our baby here, on a stupidly understaffed and overpopulated ward. Baby delivered prematurely, high risk mother. No protocols were followed, she should have had a pre elected c section, then they released the baby home at just 34 weeks when she wasn't feeding. Needless to say we were readmitted to addenbrookes where the care was a million times better and we stayed until our baby was term and feeding correctly. I have made an official complaint and I am yet to receive a response.

I come from a thread world country south africa and never had to sit on the floor in any waiting room of any A&E the United Kingdom is supposed to be so much better ha ha ha .
Don't get me wrong I live and work in the UK and love most things about the country. However there is really something wrong when you sick and injured have to sit o the floor waiting for 5 hours to be seen by any one ..........
As a tax paying contributing citizens we have to start asking the right questions.

This hospital is small, but quite nice. I don't go here anymore as I've moved away. I feel I need to say, that if you have problems or a complaint about the staff or service, the only people who can impartially address hospital complaints are the PALS Department (Patient Advice and Liaison Services) they are available in all hospitals, but surprisingly not many people know they exist unless something major happens. The PALS Team are there to sort out every calibre of problems, no matter how big or small and support the patients all the way. Having previously worked here and many other hospitals as a Medical Secretary for years, most NHS staff are kind, caring, thorough and helpful. Obviously, you get good and bad medical professionals, services and other medical staff, such is the nature of human beings and life. Hospital systems and the humans working there can and do get it wrong. It's awful hearing when hospital services especially A&E aren't as efficient as they should be, but many problems and issues that do go wrong sadly go unheard. Anyone reading this or those who have awful experiences, please complain to the hospitals PALS Department, so it can be investigated thoroughly by them and dealt with accordingly, your role is just to point out what happened, nothing more. If you do this, you can help others including you in the future, so it hopefully doesn't happen to anyone else again.

Had to take a friend who was very ill. We found it OK, we got parked up, but the waiting time was quite long. Whilst waiting I took some pics of outside the hospital. As it was dark it looked like there was a spaceship over main entrance. There was a beautiful carved seat commemoration all those who have helped The NHS and fallen heroes. Very tastefully and respectfully done!!

Booked into A&E by tel: 111service and arrived at 8.30pm. After treatment by a very efficient Dr Orlando, I left at 9.10pm. Nothing but praise for these overworked people who provide a truly excellent service. Should be a tip box available.
