I’ve had the pleasure of working at Valerian Court Care Home for the past three months, and I can honestly say it’s a wonderful place! The environment is clean, safe, and well-maintained. The staff are truly amazing everyone is kind, compassionate, and dedicated to providing the best care possible. A special shoutout to Eliza at the reception she’s incredibly warm and caring, always making sure everyone feels welcome. The housekeeping team, led by the fantastic head of housekeeping, is second to none! I feel lucky to be part of such a great team and would highly recommend Valerian Court to anyone looking for a top-quality care home.

Working in this beautiful care home over 2 years now and it is such a beautiful place to be in, there is possibly to be supported in career development, training skills and management and staff are always loved, supportive and here 24/7 to provide outstanding service for our amazing residents. It is not just to be at work but also to have feeling of home atmosphere with the importance of our values on daily basic, treated always with respect!

Joined the team at Valerian Court Care home a month ago and it’s been an amazing experience.
The manager and her deputy are ever ready to listen and support you as best as they can to help you improve upon yourself and the entire team is absolutely fantastic, with ever friendly staff who are ready to help you out in any situation.
Am truly privileged to be a part of this wonderful team.

Took my mother to see Valerian Court twice in May 2023, taking 2 days off work as annual leave.
Everything went well with Sonia the Home Manager even saying "Well, we can't wait to have you here" to my mother even after the needs assessment, only to get an email a few days later stating they could not look after mum as they did not have the staff needed.
Maybe it would have been worth telling us BEFORE the assessment that you were short-staffed and couldn’t accept any more residents, therefore not getting ours and my mother’s hopes up.
I have seen reviews posted on other review sites for this place that were posted a month ago, so you clearly have been taking more residents on.
I was then told they would be taking on new residents to the dementia floor in September/October and I went in to register my interest all over again in person, guess what? No response or reply from anyone.

I have recently had the pleasure to deal with the team at Valerian Court for some respite care, they have been a pleasure to deal with, showing an abundance of both professionalism and understanding. The facilities are excellent, but more importantly the staff really invest time in the residents.

Having watched the care home being built and the anticipation of how this would look, I visited the home last week and can’t express enough how beautiful it is. So much care and thought has gone in to make this a real home from home for residents. It’s location is also perfect as while you have complete peace inside the home due to very clever sound proofing you can get a feel of life going on outside. A perfect combination and such lovely touches such as a Cinema, Hair Salon and Roof Top Terrace

A very high standard care home , with hairdressers and nail salon and even a cinema , daily activities and very supportive of the local community , the staff are extremely caring and work there hardest to make the residents experience the best they can , the staff team and care home is still growing and evolving but they are already outshining other care homes I have been to .
