We feel very fortunate that our mum is living at Laurel Court, and yes agree a care home is only as good as the staff and management. The team are friendly, caring and supportive, and know individual residents needs well. And service and care is personalised. Visitors are welcome to see residents and there are nice areas to sit. The staffing ratios are enough high to meet a wide range of needs. They keep in contact with me and I can talk with my mum by phone and video call. When she returned from hospital a few months ago she was unsteady on her feet, but they kept a close eye on her, and she regained all her mobility back. The rooms are generous and relatives are encouraged to personalise them with the residents. Thank you so much!

Laurel Court is far more than a Care Home, it is a community. After Mum moved in 2021, the team there worked really hard to understand her, to get to know her and to build her trust. They treated her with immense kindness, they challenged her, and cared for her with compassion and dignity — and they supported our family through her decline with huge kindness too. Thanks to them, we got our Mum back, and in the last few years of her life she was cherished, comfortable and as independent as she could possibly be. I couldn’t be more grateful to Sarah, Aberdeen and all their wonderful colleagues, both day and night teams. You are extraordinary at what you do.

Fantastic home has a Residential unit, Nursing unit and Dementia unit. Lovely gardens. Fantastic staff. Highly recommend❤🦄❤

My father has resident here for over 7 months; he never wanted to go into a home, and has deteriorated rapidly losing almost all his mobility, and has been diagnosed with depression. There are some great members of staff who go the extra mile to make him comfortable and to whom I am grateful, in particular Tatiana. The aspect I am not impressed with is the management team. I have sent several emails to the care home manager about my various concerns which she has never had the good manners or courtesy to reply to. This isn't care - actions speak louder than any fine sounding words on their website. So we are now looking for alternative provision.

As a family it was a really difficult decision to place dad Into care and during these unprecedented times the situation is made even more difficult.

I think I speak for all the family knowing that dad is being taken care of by the team at Laurel Court In particular our thanks and gratitude goes out to Brigette and Racelle who go above and beyond caring for dad. Also accommodating us as a family through these times with updated communication and we really appreciate it.

Again we can’t thank you enough, for all what you do for our dad and the continued support and we wait anxiously in the hope that we will be able to see dad as we use to very soon.

My father was in this home floor he was on was shabby and needed decorating heating uncomfortably hot may have been decorated by now ? I didn't think vegetarian diet great either
