My dad was diagnosed as at end of life in mid December 2024 and sadly he passed away in the first week of January. In that time, we had to get to grips with all of the CHC options available and we got connected to Prudent, and the incredible Nicola Pearce. Nicola provided us with invaluable advice and support, arranging home care within the first couple of days and then when Dad was hospitalized she liaised with the hospital to fast track 24 hour in home care were dad to need it. As it transpired, that was not the route we opted for but at no stage did Nicola try persuading us or any form of selling, she was the epitome of care and support, generous with her time and advice and we will always be grateful to her and Prudent for our brief but intense interactions. If you are in an area supported by Prudent, then I would highly recommend you seek their services and support.

An absolute awful experience from first call on day one to last call. Constantly late. Often only one staff member attending leading to me assisting with my wifes care. Staff lying on app saying they completed tasks they hadn't done. Damaged property (which admittedly they did pay for). Damaged powerchair. Staff didn't know how to use track hoist. Constantly routed catheter wrong causing blockages and bypassing. Regularly altering call times other app they use to make it look like they arriving on time when they are in fact over 2 hours late. I took screenshots before they blocked my access to the app. They mark calls as cancelled last minute when you say its pointless coming back in an hour because they are 2 hours late for the earlier call so that way they can still invoice for the call. Today a typical example 9am breakfast call and they've just arrived at 11.40am and are due back in a hour for the lunch call. Wifes been in bed 16.5 hours since last night's bed call. Tried so hard to make this work but its impossible. Management don't give a damn. On call staff tell you to either deal with it or "do it yourself". Majority of care staff have no experience or idea of what they are doing. There's literally 2 staff who knew what they were doing. Reported to CQC and to CHC who were funding her care.
Got to the stage where when I ring they "can't hear" me and when you ring back it goes to voicemail that they never answer. Our personal experience has been a nightmare from first call on day one to today! I'm desperate for the new company to take over on Monday. It can't happen soon enough!
