With 86 reviews available on Google My Business, the facility has accumulated a range of feedback from the community it serves. The average rating of 2.1/5 suggests that while the centre performs adequately in fulfilling basic healthcare needs, there are perceived areas for improvement. Some reviews indicate that navigating the initial contact process, including phone reception and waiting times upon arrival, can be slightly challenging, reflecting the busy nature of public medical services. However, positive feedback highlights the competence of the doctors, who are praised for effectively addressing patient concerns and providing clear explanations. The reception team is frequently noted for being polite and professional, contributing to a welcoming initial experience. Understanding the Ratings

\n

The average rating of 2.1/5, derived from 86 Google My Business reviews, offers insight into the patient satisfaction levels. It is crucial to interpret this statistic within the context of the centre's role as a public medical facility. Unlike highly specialized or luxury healthcare providers, the expectations for a GP practice like Walnut Street Medical Centre differ significantly. The rating suggests that while the core medical services and accessibility features are functional, aspects such as administrative efficiency (waiting times, phone access) and potentially the pace of consultations may not consistently meet the high standards expected in other service industries. Despite the lower rating, the positive comments regarding doctor competence and friendly staff indicate that the centre successfully delivers on its primary purpose: providing accessible and competent primary healthcare to the community. For patients seeking routine medical attention and basic health management, Walnut Street Medical Centre appears to offer a practical and reliable service, even if the overall patient experience could be enhanced in certain operational areas.

Took a bit to get through. But that's normal. Polite reception team. Easy to understand. When I arrived I had to wait a little past my appointment time. But again, that's normal. NHS is busy and their life is hard.
The doctor was great. Helped me sort all the things I wanted to get figured out. Overall everyone was friendly and nice, I felt safe and at ease. Really happy to be at this GP.

Rude staff. Hard to get prompt information everyone provide different information everyone on call, it’s not less than torture but only they are protected with laws not patients. they can talk rudely and you still need to be listening them.
It’s like 45 mi of wait on phone to get an appointment and another an hour of wait to see doctor even you have an appointment.
6 month of wait time for hospital reveal just for consultation. It’s a nightmare.

Very insensitive staff. Half the time the lines are not working. To book anything you have to call 8-9 AM, and it's very hard to get them to answer the telephone. When they answer they'll book you a telephone appointment, when you finally speak to the doctor, they'll tell you you actually need a face to face appointment, and when you want to book the appointment they'll tell you to call tomorrow. Also sometimes the doctor will hang up the phone. They don't listen to you and often prescribe wrong type of medication. They don't communicate well, they don't show you how to do a test or a procedure they assume you have to know everything of it. Come on, you're working with sick people, you shouldn't add all this stress on top of their sickness.

Very good experience with the GP practice very helpful staff & clean facility. Especially we have Dr.Selvakumar working in the practice. We have the feeling of meeting a family doctor. His experience and knowledge highly impressive.
Good luck to the whole team. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Never had anything but an amazing experience with this surgery. Extremely accommodating, helpful, courteous. Will try their best to find a spot to squeeze you in if they can. Nurses are lovely and knowledgable. We like our respective GPs too.

I suffer with ongoing medical issues. Almost every single time I have rang the surgery at 8am, when it opens, the phone has been engaged for at least half an hour. As far as I’m aware this is not normal procedure and patients should be in a queue on hold. When somebody does answer more often than not they’re rude, abrupt and lack care and compassion. I’d love to comment on the doctors but I’m rarely able to get an appointment despite calling at 8am as instructed, numerous days within a week. I will be changing GP surgery and would recommend others to do so.

Would not recommend for antenatal care, never had a problem with the doctors but midwifery service was quite poor. In January 2021 the care seemed a lot better with flexibility on days you have your appointment and continuity of care. When pregnant this year there were different midwives at different appointments and they did not seem to communicate so I had to explain/update them at the next appointment. There was also no way to contact the midwife directly meaning long waits (2-4 days) when needing to speak with them. Several times was promised a call back and didn’t receive it which led to me not being aware of test that had been arrange. Also was told at one point the midwife was too busy to speak with me about PGP and I’d have to wait until next appointment which was over a month away at the time. Luckily the hospital were more helpful. I have now changed medical practices due to this experience as I wouldn’t want to go through this ‘care’ again.

totally disappointed. I've been waiting for a month to be scheduled at the midwife's. I call every day and I am treated very badly. I asked for the midwife's number. They gave me 2 different numbers. I'm trying to call. and is incorrect number. I find it disrespectful and contemptuous of patients
