I asked for help applying for attendance allowance as the 21 page application form was very hard to understand. When I went to see them they arranged for Alison Grainger to contact me via phone. Then it took an hour for her to ask me all the questions and discuss my situation.
Today I got my first payment so she did an exceptional job on my behalf and I wanted to say thank you to her and all the staff at this office.

On Friday 3rd September I had a telephone conversation with Mike from Bridlington CAB. He was so helpful in filling in an application form for attendance allowance for me. I received a letter from the DWP 4th October informing me that I had been awarded the higher benefit indefinitely. I can't thank him enough and the service I received from CAB.

A little hard to get hold of on phone, but amazing team of helpers for all sorts of reasons or needs, please remember to donate when helped , so the service can continue to help us more unlucky soles , many thanks from me

Polite and friendly staff, but as with other CAB offices they are not well informed. Not much help unless you are semi-literate. Basically a service to advise you how to make a formal complaint or search the Law Society website for solicitors who might offer free legal advice (most don't).

Difficult and slow to get in but once you are they are amazing people, they don't judge they help and are honest.
It's hard to talk at first but just tell them they have heard it all before.
