I have had a dog at the practice previously and received great and compassionate care especially when I had to make the difficult decision to let her go due to liver cancer. I got a very anxious rescue dog ( 2 years old and I am her 4 th home, so was beaten and kicked in her last home)
The practice has been incredibly helpful to ensure we have had appointments at the least busy times and have seen the same vet on both visits. This kind of understanding and support has changed my dogs anxiety beyond belief. She is still scared but beginning to get used to the setting. On the first visit I had to physically restrain her for the vet to give her the vaccination. This time a gentle cuddle was enough… as well as the respecting her fear gently and high value treats . My dog has to be spayed next month and so I feel she will feel more comfortable and confident…. As Will I!

Had a problem with our spaniels paw ( whilst on Holiday), and bumped into a lady that highly recommended Morris & Plumley .

We called and were offered an appointment within the hour , and reception staff were extremely reassuring, professional in manner and helpful .
Were seen by Vet Rachel Mclachlan, who dealt with our spaniel in a thorough, but very caring manner . And we felt reassured as we had to leave our Spaniel “Blue” for a few hours so he could be sedated to enable the examination to be undertaken.

We were contacted by the Vet personally after the examination to enable us to return and pick him up.

I cannot recommend this practice highly enough , as there was no “up-selling” as is found nowadays by with some Chain Veterinary Practices.
It was clear to us that our pet was there number one priority, and not money .

It's taken me a while to write this as I'm still quite raw over the loss of my beautiful companion.
My 13 year old dog took poorly very quickly in May. I rang the surgery on Monday morning and got an appointment for the same day. The receptionist was so accommodating and made sure she got me in!
Adam looked at my dog, he was so lovely and patient with her (she was a bit of a nervous doggie) talked me through a couple of things, and give her a couple of jabs and said to see if she picked up overnight. She didn't so again, they gave me an appointment the same day I rang and I seen Adam again.
He ran some bloods and they check them there and then in the vets! No having to wait for days for results!
I waited in the car with my girl and he came out to get me.
The news was devastating. She had basically reached the end of her life. Adam was fantastic in talking me through this devastating news.
I took her home and had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go.
I asked for a home visit as she was so nervous going to the vet and I didn't want that to be her last memory, and they gave me an appointment for the following day.
Amy came out and she was absolutely fantastic. She took her time with Fen, talking to her and reassuring her. She talked us through what was going to happen and waited until we were ready. Fen just went to sleep on her bed. She didn't feel a thing and wasn't aware of anything other than our love. Amy was so fantastic with her and us. She sat for a while afterwards too which was lovely.
I can't recommend this practice enough.
From the minute you walk in, the receptionists are great, all of the staff are!
Everyone is friendly, sympathetic but still professional. They make both human and their companions feel comfortable and understood!

Dog required an important blood test for epilepsy drug levels. Normally done in an hour or two. Bloods taken 5pm Monday. Our vet on holiday Tuesday and promised the results first thing Wednesday. No call so rang for results and promised a call back. Didn't come. Rang few hours later, didn't come. Promised call first thing Thursday, no call. Rang again late pm, vet not available and will call back, no call. Friday called and promised answers imminently. Finally rang to say the vet hadn't processed the bloods taken. Told that the blood test fee would be refunded and zero suggestions to urgently remedy things. The vet didn't even call the practice manager did his dirty work. Appalling service.

Recently had to take our dog whilst on holiday, she was taken ill, this practice saw her quickly, started treatment, nothing was too much trouble, all staff were very kind, helpful & friendly, & the vet Dom who treated her was kind, reassuring & very thorough, a really great small practice in Alnwick, would highly recommend to anyone. It's reassuring to know as we spend alot of time on holiday in the area regularly, & she's now made a quick & full recovery, Thanks to all the team 😍

Amazing, lovely and caring practice. I’m reviewing again as the service never fails to disappoint. The prices are fair and drastically lower than many other local practices, I’ve known them perform an operation for one of my clients (I’m a dog walker and pet sitter) for a tenth of the price another practice quoted. I’ve only ever once had to query a price and that was due to a clerical error and sorted out immediately. Keep up the good work guys, you are so appreciated! Elliot and Bertie enjoyed their first visit to meet Dom today, had a quick cuddle with Gemma on the desk 😂 and signed up to vaccine for life which is an incredibly good deal 💕

Absolutely brilliant service from this practice whilst we were on holiday!
Our precious dog needed her usual medication as we’d ran out, we called our vet at home who took a picture of a prescription sent it to me, I was going to get the prescription filled online but it was going to take 5-7 days. Frantically I called this practice who were compassionate, understanding and ultra efficient, as I was 17 miles away everything was done via the telephone and the next day I had the treatment my pet needed.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice and their professionalism. Thank you and well done. You’re definitely our vet of choice for future needs whilst we are in Northumberland.

What can we say about these vets that quickly puts across how amazing they are. We have been with them now for 8 months, and I can honestly say I have never been to better vets. We have quite a few rats, and each time I am blown away with how knowledgeable the vets are and even how friendly the receptionists are. They make sure you have an appointment that is best for you and your animal, help you through difficult decisions and make what can be a tough day just that little bit easier. They helped us make sure our cat got the best care at the end of his life even though funds were tight at the time and every time we've taken in rats even the receptionists want to say hi to them.
We've had nothing but good experiences with them, from battling our old vets to get our cats medical records to emergency calls for a ill rat late at night.

Highly recommend these vets to anyone!
