Great service from start to finish. Just had one appointment but all staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. I had multiple phone calls prior to my appointment all of which were answered quickly and my queries dealt with. The hospital itself is attractive from the outside and doesn’t have a hospital ‘feel’ to it at all which is nice. The waiting area is pleasant and comfortable. The consultant was polite, knowledgeable and took the time to explain things really well. I self funded my appointment and would definitely do so again.

Spoke to Amelia who is a radiology administrator. Very rude. I only asked if she could check if I've missed a call from them as I haven't had any information regarding booking an appointment. Did not care, was not willing to check. Just wanted to get off the phone. Said basically if I don't like her answer phone back next week when someone else is there. If you are having a bad day don't take it out on patients. Do not answer the phone. Seriously requires some sort of training and not what I'd expect.

I had an arthoscopy on my ankle after having a screw removed 6 months before with not issues. When I left from the consultant from arranging this I wasn't given a copy of the paperwork which I was meant to be issued with.

When I had the operation I woke up and noticed instantly my toes stopped working and lost a lot of feeling in my foot and leg. I told the nurse and she said its just the anesthetic and should be ok on 24 hours.

That time passed then I was told 3 and 6 months by multiple people.

3 years later my toes don't work and I have nerve damage in my leg and foot that no has a clue why or how to repair it. I have seen multiple specialist and no one can help. I'll never move my toes again and all the hospital say when I complained is I signed to agree to the operation.

My main issue is if anyone in a normal job made a mistake and this is a mistake as not one consultant or specialist has seen this and there's not anything to find online related. You would have to explain what went wrong why how etc. If you don't have a good answer disaplinary. If you do have answer and make a mistake you would at least expect retraining on that and also sharing across the business what went wrong and how to avoid in the future.

The hospitals attitude is disgusting saying I signed a piece of paper so it don't matter that something went wrong. I can't even ride a motorbike because I can't feel the brake and I've been waiting for kids to grow up to get one. Now they're older I can't. It life changing in some ways. I can't sit comfortably because of the nerves. I can't even wear a normal pair of shoes I have to have special shoes made as I can't bend my foot to get in.

My mum had a knee placement 4 months ago since then it's been swollen, warm to the touch and she can not bend it what so ever , she has to use a Zimmer Frame to get around she had it done privately and now she has to wait for an appointment for 2/3 months . She has just recently gone into a nursing home which partly because of her leg and the pain and stress from it , the home got her an x-ray and hospital prescribed her antibiotics incase of infection this is a terrible service they were quick to take the money and now have left her to suffer for all these months!!!!

I had initially enquired via email and got a prompt response. I made contact with the hospital and the receptionist (Sharon) was so friendly and made me feel at ease straight away!
Within 48 hours I had my consultation with Dr Arora; who was patient, a good listener & clearly knew what needs to happen next for me. I got more out of one appointment with her than I have with my GP surgery in the last year!
I’m already booked in for a scan & feel so comfortable and confident with Fitzwilliam.
As a self-funding patient, I can honestly say that so far it’s been money well spent on myself & I wouldn’t be adverse to using the hospital again in the future if necessary!
5 star service all round ?

Fitzwilliam hospital is good hospital just out side of city center or south Briton. It has good facility as private hospital and tie up with some insurance providers like Helix or Mayfair. If you have referral the appointment get avaliable moderately. Helpdesk service can be more cooperative.
