What can I say? Staff absolutely fantastic, both for mother in law and for me and my husband! We were all treated with dignity while MIL on end of life care…..the care and respect was appreciated during the ten days MIL spent after transfer from MPH. Not an ideal situation to be in, but couldn’t fault the doctor, nurses and carers’ support. Thank you so much, all of you

A total lack of respect for patients. I left work and went straight to the minor injuries unit feeling really sick. I waited for three hours, sitting on a terrible chair in the waiting room. When I asked about the urine test that had been collected, they said they had no idea what I was talking about and then told me I was the next patient to be seen in just a few minutes.

When I went back to the nurses to ask again after several minutes had passed, the story changed. They said it would still take several hours for me to be seen and that there wasn’t even a doctor available. How can a hospital not have a doctor? Why don’t they just be honest from the start and tell patients the real waiting time and the real situation?

I should have been asleep by now since I wake up at dawn for work, but instead, I’m heading home without a shower and without dinner. This was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had with this kind of service. A complete lack of empathy. They treat us like we’re nothing.

Having been told to go to the hospital for a walk in x ray ,
I prepared myself for a long stay in the waiting area however that was not the case , I was in and out in 10 mins and was seen by Godwin who was charming chap so kind and helpful.
As there are so many complaints about the NHS and hospital services I felt obliged to post something about my very positive experience

The receptionist that spoke to me, I wish I had her name, unfortunately I don't, was unbelievably, unnecessarily rude to me.

I headed to this hospital as I was advised by my GP and 111, therefore I had done everything in my power not to attend a busy department.

People attend hospitals and urgent care settings when they are vulnerable, in pain and needing help. You should expect a little empathy and possibly a smiling face. I was belittled and left having had no idea where to turn or why this receptionist was so rude to me and what on earth I had done to her.

All around this reception area it says 'treat our staff with respect' etc maybe you should try some of that on the poor patients.

Had to bring my friend to be checked out at 20:00hrs to be told that they had already shut when clearly signed 21:00hrs online and on the doors. Absolutely shocking to have no communication about change in times for services.

There’s a nurse practitioner called Simon who was amazing, kind and helpful and very knowledgeable and respectful. Unfortunately the computer system was down which made things difficult.
The radiologist actually doing the xray was not. He’s taking a knee X-ray for an extremely painful knee when he suddenly grabbed the foot and twisted it around to get it into the right position, this action caused swearing and jumping, he then asked do you want the X-ray? Of course it was wanted but not the painful sudden twist of the knee.
