What an amazing hospital. Having moved to the area in the last 2yrs this has been my 1st experience of this place. Honestly from the moment of calling 111 to being taken by ambulance to the hospital I was so impressed with their quick service. The A&E team who helped me..a lovely lady called Shiny was so kind and helpful and to the nurse practitioner Leah who took her time to explain my virus I’d contacted. Amazing work NHS you all worth so much more.

From the time I stepped into the hospital at 7am not knowing where to go, I found nothing but kindness and care from the staff. Paula from admissions very kindly helped me and was so lovely explaining what would happen. The anaesthetist and surgeon were so kind and understanding making me feel at ease, the nurses on abbotsbury ward were lovely, nothing was too much trouble, the cleaner was friendly….. I would definitely recommend this hospital, all the staff were amazing…. Thankyou

I arrived at A&E at 1am this morning 24 weeks pregnant and severe abdominal pain and sicknesses. I was triaged, given IV fluids, extensive blood tests , ECG and given pain relief within an hour.

Every member of staff I came across was absolutely lovely. So caring , patient and wanting to make me comfortable. Even my partner was taken care of supplied with hot drinks and light snacks.

I was seen by the urology team first thing in the morning and given an ultrasound I even got to check on my baby for reassurance. I was given a clear plan which was explained in detail to me and my partner.

Quick and efficient the best experience I have had in a hospital. Thank you so much

I have just had an op with the ENT team and can honestly say this was the best hospital I’ve ever been to (I’ve been to a lot!)
The staff were genuinely lovely and so caring.
I arrived on Friday and was discharged today (Tuesday) and all the wards involved were just amazing introducing themselves at handover and when changing wards. Thank you so much for looking after me, especially whilst feeling so unwell. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I was on holiday with family in Weymouth when I had to attend the a& e at the hospital as my nephrostomy bag had blocked. Within an hour I had been triaged , taken to a room & had bloods taken, iv drip , anti sickness meds , oromorph . I then only had to wait another hour for urologist to come & see me . A treatment plan in place to which she then assisted with. I found the whole staff looked after me so well . Very thorough & kind . Excellent service

i went in for a suicide attempt. i was left waiting for hours on a bed while i was in pain, dazed, confused and scared. i had asked multiple people if there was someone who could be with me because i felt so confused and alone. most of the nurses forgot i had even asked and continued on with their shift, the others just told me that someone would come if they became free, which never happened. eventually i stood up from the bed and started to wander, looking for people, because in my confused state i was just looking for comfort and i was told i needed to stay sat down. the nurse spoke down to me like i was an annoying child. after being moved out of the emergency department, i was forced to walk around despite my entire body being unstable & dizzy. i was made to sit in the regular waiting rooms with other people who were in for regular appointments, despite being in only a hospital gown and after the traumatic emotional event that had just happened. i was also starving after having puked up all of the pills i had taken and it took asking about 6 nurses before someone brought me some biscuits. i wasnt allowed to talk to any staff or even sit near them. in total i was there for about 14 hours before being told that i was fine physically and despite telling them i was going to try again, was then told i was discharged. in the moment i was too out of it to realise how messed up this all was, but looking back i am appalled. dont go here if you need mental help, they do not hide the fact that they dont care about you! it was made obvious by the staff giving eachother looks everytime i attempted to talk to get some human connection whilst feeling so vulnerable. i understand they mightve been busy and/or just doing their job. but surely there should be a better plan in place when someone comes in with extreme emotional distress.

Shocking service and filthy dirty.
The brand new A&E department is shocking. Filth up the walls, windows looking like they've been wiped with a muddy cloth.
Went in with a child with a head injury. Told before I got there she had to be seen in the next hour urgently. Went in by 6am to a daily empty department. Triaged quickly and sat to wait for a doctor. 2 and a half hours later when I asked what was happening I was told the doctor is aware the next doctor will be down after hand over at about 930. So the other doctor was choosing to ignore NHS protocol and not see the child in that crucial hour.
There were some staff that didn't speak English well but were amazing. The ones speaking clear English were wasting money chatting about their weekend and plans, occasionally getting one of the other staff to do their work. There's plenty to do the place is filthy so they could clean. If they held the cloth in their mouths it would be done super quickly cause those mounts were the only thing working.
After a nearly 3 hour wait for a doctor who couldn't be bothered we left. It was another 2 hours before we got a call. For an emergency that was an absolute waste of time. If it was serious she would of died because the staff just couldn't care less.
Needs a huge overhaul or closing down. Weymouth are far better

Was admitted with a low heart beat dizzy spells and headaches on Sunday 7th within the first hour I had blood tests ECG and chest X-ray. Then moved to Maud Alexandra ward where I received excellent care and attention and more tests through out my stay until Tuesday the 9th and before I was discharged they had arranged all my follow up appointments. A big thank you for all that you done for me I was amazed with the treatment I received.
