Opinions

This company has 316 reviews on Google My Business, with an average opinion of 4.4/5.

Members have praised the clean and modern facilities, including the toilets and showers. However, some have noted that the machines are older style than some other local gyms.

One reviewer mentioned that the entry pods ensure only members have access, and the adults-only policy (16+) is a plus for those looking for a safe space.

Another reviewer appreciated the variety of equipment and the helpful personal trainers. They also enjoyed the convenient location and wheelchair accessibility.

Overall, PureGym Weston-super-Mare seems to be a great option for women looking for a supportive and modern fitness community.

Tried puregym last last night for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised. Cool little entry pods to ensure only members access it, adults only (16+) no children. Everything was clean, the toilets and showers lovely, modern and clean.
Only reason for not giving 5 stars was that the machines are older style than some other local gyms but they work. So as long as you don't mind that then I would 100% recommend this

For the money it's pretty good. 24 hour access with a huge range of equipment. Personal trainers are available at a reasonable price and are very friendly and helpful. The only issues are that there is almost always a machine out of action, and the showers are mouldy. If you can deal with those issues, it's good for the price.

Not sure of the managers name he normally works during the week in the evening shifts. He has to be one of the hardest working guys I have ever seen he is constantly cleaning the gym while everyone is working out to ensure equipment is sanitized. One day I was leaving in the evening and he literally was on his hands and knees scrubbing gum from the entrance carpet! Please give this guy a promotion well deserved!!

Essentially it is a great place, but on weekday afternoons it is a mission impossible to have a proper session due to the high number of the members. That is one thing but many ppl are using this place for socializing because it is a must to go to the gym these days and they are only chatting while they are taking the machines or they are on their phones for a while without doing anything and they are taking machines. Apart from these it is a great place I wish I could attend it off peak hours.

To be very honest, been pure gym client since 2018, cancelling my subscription most of the times because I wasn’t feeling comfortable with the gym, I started in Redditch and Evesham later, I wasn’t at all convinced of joining another pure gym, but some friends pushed me to do it.
I will never regret, is the best experience I had, I love going to classes, staff is amazingly friendly, always willing to help, I Have a PT now, member of pure gym team, who is amazing and I’m achieving every goal that we set together.
Big shoutout to Sasha, Olly, Callum and Alex, you guys are the best.

I've been a member of Pure Gyms all over the UK on and off for years. This one is no different from the chain. Spacious. Good set of free weights. Machines. A track. 24/7 availability and on budget so friendly and worthwhile on the pocket.

I have noticed in certain Pure Gyms previously a bit of hostility towards outsiders/newcomers. I joined this gym for a month but I couldn't shake the thought that I was getting stared at quite a bit just for being there. So I only attended maybe once or twice that month and I have not renewed.

I am ADHD combined and I advocate for Autism and I am aware that sometimes I am not the same as others in how I approach being in the gym or indeed in public spaces. I visit when it's quiet usually in the evenings. I often carry reading/research material because I get very anxious in new surroundings and the treadmill gives me time to walk n think. If I could afford my own treadmill at home I think I would do that. I have no interest in other people who attend these gyms and I dislike gym pick up culture. It makes me feel uncomfortable. I have my own personal space bubble and enjoy a workout uninterrupted, bubble remains unburst and everyone including me minding my own damn.

If I want to join a budget gym, I should feel allowed to do so. Not all people can afford a higher tier commercial gym. To be honest I can't really at the moment but at least in a higher tier the staff are welcoming to neurodiverse individuals. And actually the shade I get from patrons is just the same (sometimes worse).

You should be allowed to feel welcome, comfortable and train in a space without unconscious bias and judgements. And unfortunately I did not feel that vibe here.

Far too many people use this gym. not enough of the core machines. Even tonight at 22:51 there are nearly 50 in the gym and they hog machines in groups on their phones, waste of time going if you want to do a circuit in quick time without breaks. Other than that it's a good gym
