Had a great day at Hawkwood on the indigo dyeing and Japanese shibori course, led by a great tutor Zara Emily. Great teaching and we had opportunity to practice and experiment with different materials and techniques. Fantastic venue and wonderful food and cakes. Highly recommend a visit to this beautiful location and to do a course.

Beautiful location with stunning countryside ideal for retreats conferences and many various workshops. Enjoy the many different creative arts music and spiritually themed talks and gatherings. Bio dynamic grown fruit and veg are used in the kitchen menu all freshly prepared by in house chefs. Lovely walks around the grounds and nearby Painswick and the slad valley. Peaceful calming atmosphere with pretty gardens to relax. Good parking.

Went there for a crafting weekend with The Makerss, absolutely stunning place and the grounds were phenomenal. The food was gorgeous and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. Each room was spotlessly clean and very accommodating. Wonderful place for any gathering xxx

A quiet and peaceful location. They produce their own organically grown vegetables and prepare delicious meals. The buildings are full of character inside and out, although some of the rooms could use a touch-up. Also worth noting that showers and toilets are shared on each floor.

I walk through here on a weekly basis to pick up a veg share I get from a community agriculture group. It really is a lovely place, great views and a NJ e stroll though some woods. The house itself hosts a range of events, some are quite alternative - then again, this is Stroud.

Well done Hawkwood.
I have been teaching at your venue for over 20 years and have always enjoyed it as well as my students. With Covid so prevalent I was very apprehensive to run a class but I found everything so well set up that my concerns were unfounded. Thank you for doing such a great job as always.
