I worked with bluebird as a carer years ago and was so welcomed and well looked after by the management and team the training I received at the start of my care role was of a very high maintenance which I have been able to use through other care roles in my career, I had to leave due to changes in my life and after having children was not in a position to take up care again, I was so excited when the opportunity came across to be able to be part of the office team! I came back being remembered by some staff and management and was made to feel so comfortable and since starting back I have been thoroughly supported and received such a high level of help and support in my new role to maintain a high professionalism and gain new skills and experience. The bluebird staff, have gone above and beyond to make me comfortable and give me all the advice to be the best I can at my role. Nothing is ever too much of a problem and I feel very lucky to be part of such a professional and caring team.

I used Bluebird Care to support my mother as she declined with Alzheimer's. Initially they provided companionship but gradually became more involved and supportive as her condition deteriorated. Throughout all of this time they provided exemplary service and support, providing detailed and informative updates, offering advice and particularly treating mum with the up most respect and dignity during their visits. Communication with me was very clear, wether email, text, phone or notes left in carers diary in mum's flat, this made the whole process of supporting mum so much easier and stress free. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Bluebird Care.

I started working with bluebird in January 2022 and it best decision I had ever made. I felt warmth and love from all staff and customers we visit. It doesn't not feel like work it feel like visiting your love one. You have support around you and everyone look out for each other. Each visit is tailor to each customer needs so every visit is different. You can support someone with personal care to taking next one shopping. I go to work and leave work every day with big smile

I worked for Bluebird Care for just over 2 years predominantly as a carer and very briefly as a Supervisor.

The training provided by Bluebird care to the care staff is exemplary, and the standards set by the manager Tracy Morgan are extremely high. Consequently the care provided to the customers is second to none.

The care team are very closely bonded and are very supportive and understanding to one another, which is vital as a lone worker. This was invaluable particularly at the start of the Pandemic when it was a worrying and frightening time for us all working face to face with our customers.

The appreciation shown to the carers is shown in their renumeration, as the hourly rate is better than most other care agencies, and they also offer contracts that guarantees a certain amount of hours depending on your flexibility.
My one very small criticism (hence only four stars) is there is a slight air of 'us and them' between some of the Supervisors and the carers, which means that it doesn't always feel like a team. I'm sure the senior management will get on top of this though within time. Team building and an occasional social gathering amongst all staff would help bridge the office team and carers divide

This is definitely one of the best places I've ever worked. You get constant support, online monthly team training sessions as well as the opportunity to do extra training to widen your knowledge and experience. The staff in the office are lovely and always there if you need advice, but equally you can call on the other carers for help and advice as well.
After your shadow time period it does feel a bit scary going out on your own for the first time, but the on-call support team are always there to guide you. It's such a rewarding job meeting a range of fascinating people, hearing their stories and knowing you've made their day a little bit better, and they're always so grateful.
Now as a Care Supervisor, after almost a year of being a domiciliary care worker, I never thought I'd find myself working in this job sector but I am so glad I made the decision to join such a wonderful team of like-minded people. So, if you're someone of a kind caring nature who wants to make a difference and challenge yourself, then this job is definitely for you. I'd highly recommend it! 5* team, 5* job

My best friend and I both have started our magical journey with Bluebirdcare Ltd (Stroud and Cirencester) together last October 2020. What a great journey it has been soo far. At the beginning we have been provided with a 3 day intensive course where we have met our superiors whom were very welcoming. My friend and I had been allocated to more experienced collegues and we had a great opportunity to shadow them for 2 weeks before we were starting going solo for the first time. These shifts gave us the opportunities to meet many of our customers and families who were really welcoming towards us. Also we have met some of our collegues for the first time who were sharing extra 'must have' practical knowledge i.e. help with our Pass System (our digital paperwork). Alongside our daily work, we were enrolled on a 13 week long supervised study program called the Care Certificate. The weeks have ran so very quickly that before we have realised, we have finished our certificate which made me proud of myself in a way as english is not my first language although I have already completed my Nursing college diploma in Hungary 30 years ago. I was ready to make a difference in my community so I was adamant that I will complete this certificate. Throughout these weeks we had weekly telephone calls from our manager and supervisors to check on us if we were alright, if we needed any help with anything and field checks too to help us become competent and safe within our role. After finishing the Care Certificate our manager has called us up to discuss our Personal Development plan which has basically guided us to which field we would like to specialise within. All the really exciting options were laid out for me which made me feel extra special and has reassured me that my company is ready to invest in me, in my future which both our customers as much as myself will benefit from along the line. Sometimes you just have to leave your comfort zone and be ready to do something different, learn new things or even challenge yourself. Even if you haven't done any carework before but you do feel passionate enough to help other people and wanting to make a difference in your community these courses are free, to better yourself with and everybody would love to see you succeed. Our very friendly office staff are doing their utmost to help you out as no questions are too small, I promise. If you ever get stuck on your work day when the office is still shut, Out of Hours is always there for you like your Guardian Angel to give you that extra support or reassurance you need. We have even adapted through these very challenging pandemic times and our Training courses/Staff meetings have moved online and now been carried out through Zoom meetings. This is a wonderfully safe way to learn new skills and share each other's experiences or even discuss scenarios which could be a concern to you while meeting new colleagues and this way we could put a name to a face really easily. We are looking forward to the Covid 19 free times in the Summer where we could meet up on the common for that lovely picnic with our collegues and meet everybody face to face and have a laughter while sharing our lovely food and anecdotes. Today I've just received my first Covid 19 jab which my company has organized for me/us alongside providing me/us with weekly Covid 19 tests and correct PPE.
