Advanced practitioners are great! Receptionist is very helpful (which is a massive improvement here). Systems however are like 1980 - have to wait for a long time for the ‘secretary pool’ to process referrals (why we don’t have these things at the press of a button I do not know), they have stopped doing ECGs on site so have to go to hospital and almost nothing, even getting an appointment is online. Feels in some ways practice has gone backwards.

The staff and medical team have always been caring and supportive. I had cancer during the pandemic and they made sure I had the best care and treatment. I never have trouble getting an appointment and am contacted by text with reminders.

Visited RMI Horwich with my neighbour to have our Covid booster and flu vaccinations. As usual here (our 3rd visit)we were treated very well and were in and out very quickly. The smiley guy who administered our vaccines was very pleasant and I wish we’d asked his name.

There is an improvement of the surgery. There’s definitely improvement when I am ringing up for an appointment or to speak to someone. I always get a phone call straightaway of the doctor or of the pharmacy happy with the surgery nothing bad to say. there is one thing i like to say if it could be an improvement for when the doctor is shouting you in maybe a screen or something to point you to the room would be great thank you and the reception are really helpful and lovely

Bloods ordered, booked and taken at 12pm

My experience could not have been better, I couldn’t have asked for more. This surgery has worked hard to improve and it really shows! Well done to each and every one of you.

Delayed seeing the consultant as they didn't have the referral letter. This was resolved eventually but it would have been better if someone could have informed us what the delay was, rather than us just feeling we had been forgotten. Information only given when I went to ask. Staff were apologetic and friendly. Consultant Mr Rashid was lovely.

Practice has had an overdue revamp- in competition with the new health centre nearby perhaps?- with plants, new chairs, new signage and purpose built additional consulting rooms in part of the Horwich RMI club. Had our Covid and flu jabs this morning. Initially there was no system for honouring appointment times but once we drew this to the attention of staff it was swiftly sorted.
