The new system is shocking me. It has been a week from when I called them and filled in the forms that I have not got a response from them, no call, no email, no text. Nothing. I called them again yesterday and was promised to get back soon because she wants to ask her colleague about my request. But none up until now either. My request is about travel vaccines for my kids. I am aware of the importance to book travel vaccines to be 6 weeks for the vaccines to be effective. But now my time limit has been reduced because of no response for 1 week from them. This is very disappointing. I have never experienced this from them and I have to write this with regret. Is this new booking system even for real? Why did you do this to me and my kids? We have rights for this service, when are you going to respond to me, please?

Second time this year, I filled in the form, got a same day appointment and saw a very experienced advance practitioner nurse in both cases. I felt they really took the time to understand the issue, the treatment prescribed worked perfectly. Keep this up! Thank tou

I've been with this practice for years and always had great care.

I've been prompted to review today by the recent changes to the appointment booking system. Gone is ringing up at 8am. You now fill in the econsult form either on the NHS app or surgery website and your information is then reviewed by a Dr and an appointment made if necessary.

I've had to use this system twice in the last month and both times I have been contacted in under 3 hours of submitting the request, with same day appointments available. I really can't ask for any more than this from my GP.

The staff have always been brilliant here as well, but the change to the appointment system has really made a huge difference to me and made the GP service so much more accessible (and less awkward than having to explain all your symptoms over the phone!)

EDIT: Just seen that someone else has reviewed the same system with a very different viewpoint! They might want to wait an hour or so and maybe they'll be surprised with a same day appointment... They definitely do exist!

Physician heal thyself seems the new era
Three apps?
No online appointment phone triage or otherwise as per usual but to add insult to injury I can book a private gp from their app
Go physically in to see a receptionist to ask for sample kit and told to go back home to fill in the loose the will to live form once you get in the right app after lots of faff and wait for a gp you don't know to hopefully call to give permission to test your p they won't without it
there is a pun in there
Rubbish but got there eventually
Time to go back to basics with one app and common sense please

We joined this surgery during COVID, I assumed the poor service was to do with the pandemic, however it simply just hasn't got any better. Every time my wife goes to pick up her repeat prescription, it's NEVER ready. So she's started ringing in advance to check that it's going to be ready on the daythey say it is, that's also made no difference... Each time this happens, the chemist next door and the medical centre just blame each other. Hilarious. Last time I checked the 'My GP' app, there are no appointments made available by the surgery to book online. Ringing up at 8am for a same day appointment really just isn't good enough a system, me and our children all need to be 'where we need to be' by 8am, we can't simply wait at home in case we get lucky and get an appointment, which could be any time that day. Or worse, not get an appointment and us all be late for school and work for no reason, potentially doing this every day until we get lucky. It really is quite disruptive from a school / work point of view. If it's all due to staff shotages and people doing 'no-shows' for appointments, I don't know what the solution is. But that's not my problem, I already have a job, that's their responsibility to sort out. Which they have not, during the 4 years I've been here.

I have always found the practice staff to be helpful and responsive. I tend to use on line consultations so as to leave face to face appointments for those that really need them. In doing so my queries and requests are answered within 2 days. I don't need to go into the practice for my repeats and I can do most things on the app.

My advice to other patients is to use the app if you can it will save you a lot of time.

The clinical staff have always been responsive to my healthcare needs.
