On this visit to Thornbury Hospital, from start to finish it was a lovely pleasant experience. The reception staff member, nurses, anaesthetist and his staff, and Doctor/Consultant/Surgeon were all wonderful. And I was really looked after and treat well. And the surgery was an excellent success. Shame catering forgot the chocolate ice-cream I ordered though. 😉 Thank you for everything. You also get a free cardboard party hat on each visit, which was a nice touch. I think I might wear that at Glastonbury Festival when I next go.

I have to say I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care I’ve received during my breast cancer treatment, here. Dr. Claire has been amazing - despite having many patients, she always makes me feel like I have her full attention.
My nurses, Maria, Alison, Portia, and Beth, have been nothing short of exceptional. Their kindness, skill, and ability to ease every moment have made this journey so much easier. I feel truly blessed to have them by my side. Thank you for everything!

I had an amazing experience at Thornbury hospital! Absolutely every member of staff who dealt with me went above and beyond to make me comfortable and help me. My friends joked to treat my operation like a little holiday but I honestly felt like I was being cared for in a 5 star hotel. This is how you should be cared for when you are at your worst! If they had told me I needed to stay in another night I wouldn’t have minded. My room was lovely, the food was gorgeous and the best part was the staff couldn’t have done anymore for you!

I had a nurse called Charlotte, she was amazing. Had time and to talk and answered any questions I had.
Surgeon came to see me and was helpful, he explained everything he was going to be doing.
I was offered a sandwich after my surgery, it was delivered when I returned to my room. It was fresh and tasted lovely.

They make you feel you are being looked after. The booking system could be improved and made consistent across all consultants and departments. It needs the ability to login in check appointments and request changes if necessary, email and text prompts confirming appointments and reminders the day before, and the ability to download any document relating to the appointment, treatment and post treatment.

I would like to say thank you to all the staff on the mappin suite, physio team and the surgical team for taking care of me before and after my operation. The staff are so friendly. The anaesthetist and his team really put me at ease and took the time to listen to my fears. The hospital is immaculate and rooms very comfortable. The catering staff were excellent too and kept me supplied with drinks and the food, I was permitted, very nice. 😁😁

My dad has been coming regular for wound checks for the past 7 weeks after it didn’t heal properly post knee replacement surgery! The team have been fantastic, caring and accommodating! A special
Mention to nurse Louise who has mainly done dads care and wound checks we have Louise, her calm caring manner and her wealth of experience for the fact the wounds are now healing! All the staff have been amazing!

Everyone was very attentive kind and respectful when I needed it most. I was very impressed with the overall standard of care. Friendliness of all staff willing to help in any way possible. Nurses and doctors were quick to respond when I needed extra help. The bed was very comfortable and meals were excellent. I need my other knee replacing and I will have no hesitations on returning next year.
Every member of staff get a 10 out of 10 from me.
