Dr Glenys was warm and full of empathy and fully understood the challenges that I had been facing for a number of years. We discussed several different alternatives for my HRT prescription before deciding on a solution. Throughout the consultation she made me feel totally comfortable and confident in the level of her knowledge.

Had a good experience with every woman in helping me understand symptoms and getting me on right type of hrt that’s has helped clear 90% of symptoms . Was getting nowhere with my NHS doctor so paid to see them and get right guidance and expertise in menopause field . Costly but worth it for piece of mind and getting sorted .

Dr Quartey-Irwin is the best menopause GP in the entire area (I've tried them all) having been the only one to take my symptoms seriously and to thoroughly test and evaluate my health before reaching a judgement regarding HRT. She is clearly genuinely kind and caring, and an outstanding practitioner and I can recommend her to others without reservation.

When I went to see Dr Glenys Quartey-Irwin, I was hopeful that my headaches, aches and pains, general tiredness and brain fog could be addressed. I'd been to my GP and got nowhere, in fact I felt worse because I didn't feel listened to, nor taken seriously and my 5 minutes passed very quickly. Dr Glenys does listen. She was very thorough and is very easy to talk to. I would recommend her to anyone who is concerned they may be peri-menopausal or menopausal. I am now on HRT (body identical) and haven't had a headache for weeks, my brain fog has lifted and I feel so much more like 'me' again. Very, very pleased.

I had such a wonderful experience with Dr Glenys Quartey-Irwin this week. For two years I have suffered with perimenopause symptoms and my quality of life has been impacted severely. After educating myself on this stage of life, I decided to book in with Dr Quartey-Irwin to discuss a way forward. She is such caring and empathetic physician and really took the time to listen to me without making me feel like I was just depressed or exaggerating. She thoroughly and carefully explained all my options and together we came up with a plan to get me feeling better.

Why did I choose her? She’s registered with the British Menopause Society and her CV speaks for itself in terms of the extensive training and passion she has for women’s health. Second, I really resonate with her commitment to ensuring equity in access and treatment for all women. Dr Glenys Quartey-Irwin cares about women, specializes in women’s health and has fabulous bedside manner. So very thankful my health is in her hands!

In May 2022 I found the EveryWoman Health Clinic via the British Menopause Society, and practically on my doorstep! I booked an appointment online; easy and straightforward. Completed the questionnaires; also, simple to do. Dr Quartey-Irwin organised for me to have blood tests done before our appointment. The appointment was for July but as I’ve been waiting 8+ years this wasn’t a problem. As the date approached, I was getting more and more apprehensive. I shouldn't have been! Dr Quartey-Irwin was fantastic! Listened to me; explained what I'd been going through in my 40s and between the 2 of us we agreed on a plan. I had been on estrogen gel since Nov 2021 but my body was not absorbing this properly 😞 I am now on a patch and can already feel the difference after a week. Only another 9 weeks to add in the ‘other’ hormone I’m missing!

I am so glad that I found Dr Quartey-Irwin; her knowledge on the subject I found to be exceptional. She IS a specialist!

Such an excellent opportunity to see a menopause specialist and to be told I am not going mad. There was so much enlightenment of what is going on with my body. Its disappointing that speaking to my gp surgery is a nightmare and lots of things could have been explained to me. Dr Glenys is right, lack of education. Even though menopause subject has been in the media in the last 12 months GPs are still so lacking in advice, support. To be told if my low moods come back we will stick you on antidepressants is just so wrong. I am not depressed my anxiety is a cause of hormonal decline. Thank you so much Dr Glenys ❤️
