We would unequivocally recommend Right at Home as a provider of care services in the New Forest area. For 5 months, Right at Home carers came to our home 5 times a week to look after Mum, who is 68 years old and has frontotemporal dementia. Mum is primarily cared for at home by Dad, but her care needs have increased as her dementia has progressed.
At the point that we started with Right and Home, we had already been receiving some care from a freelance carer, but found that we needed an arrangement which would be more reliable (which is not to say all freelance carers are unreliable – unfortunately this one was though!). We reviewed 6 or 7 local agencies, and then chose 3 to come to the house to meet us. Right at Home immediately stood out as being both very nice and very professional – two attributes that we’ve found to be vital for effective caregiving, and which not every agency seems to have! The managers were clear, patient and generous with their time. We were particularly impressed that they understood Mum’s need for a primary carer that she would get on well with, and they made an effort to connect us with the right person – Cat – who they introduced us to before we started working together. All administrative procedures were made simple when we started with them, and we’ve found them to be communicative and responsive throughout.
Cat has been an ideal carer for Mum. She has really got to know Mum as a person, and has treated her with the utmost respect, sensitively responding to her needs and moods. She has always treated Mum as a friend rather than a patient. She sensed the right routine for Mum very quickly, which has involved helping her shower, toilet, and going out for explorations of the village and the local area. Right at Home also sent other carers to care for Mum throughout the week, and when Cat has been away. They have all been lovely, sensitive and responsive to our needs. They have also been reliable and on-time, and communication has been easy with all of them.
Unfortunately, Mum’s condition is progressing and we are moving to having live-in care, provided by a freelance carer who is already connected to the family. We will miss the carers from Right at Home. We really would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a high quality care agency in the local area – their carers are the best that we could find.

I have just finished my first week of shadowing caregivers to takeover as a caregiver myself . I am so impressed with the TIME, CARE, RESPECT , DIGNITY and COMPANIONSHIP that is given . I have been supported by amazing caregivers and as for the clients ,well !! I just can’t wait to be part of their daily routines to enable them all to stay in their own homes and promote their independence as much and as long as possible . THANK YOU SOLENT ❤️

Right at home cared for my mum at her home for many years. All the carers were really supportive and friendly and mum looked forward to their visits. The level of care was regularly reviewed and adjusted as mums health changed. This care enabled mum to stay at her home much longer than she would have been able to without it. Any concerns were raised with me and the agency were very helpful in finding solutions to support mum. I would thoroughly recommend Right at Home to anyone looking to find care no matter how small or large the care need is.

Right at Home cared for my mum in her home for the past 4 years. When My dad died so unexpectedly, Right at Home made the process so easy to get the care in place - right from my first conversation, and then each step of the journey when my mum’s needs changed or increased. Any concerns are raised immediately, and having access to the carer visit notes is so reassuring and means that I can see how my mum whenever I want to.

Everyone from Right at Home genuinely cares and have gone above and beyond at times when my mum has needed extra support. The carers that visit are consistent and provide excellent care and support as well as providing genuine friendship. The office team are always helpful and have offered support to find solutions to problems as they arise. I would not hesitate to recommend Right at Home to anyone who is looking for someone to care for a loved one, right from companionship through to more personal care. They are rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, and they genuinely are outstanding in everything they do.

My sister and I have been delighted with the care provided by Right at Home. Our elderly mother has Alzheimer’s disease and we needed additional help for the past eighteen months to enable her to remain at home. We were allocated a team of three care givers meaning that the care provided was consistent and mum got to know them well. All three care givers were patient and kind to mum and provided an excellent level of care. The management team are supportive and helpful. They communicate well and are organised. We would thoroughly recommend Right at Home to anyone looking for care for their loved one.

The care my 93 year old Mum has received, 3 x day, has been wonderful. Her caregivers are kind and compassionate, always ensuring she is comfortable and has everything she needs.
I particularly appreciate the continuity of carers as its it’s important for Mum to see familiar faces which enables her to build a relationship with them.

I was delighted with the service Right at Home delivered in caring for my mum from the very first chat over the phone to the assessment visit they carried out was friendly & professional & importantly listened to mum & what she wanted/expected so the level of care was tailored to her needs while still maintaining her independence as much as possible the two ladies that were allocated to care for mum were absolutely lovely & spent time chatting with mum as well as seeing to her care needs.
I would not hesitate to recommend Right at Home to any member of my family & hope if the need arises they choose Right at Home to care for me.
