I had back surgery in December, the staff were very professional. The surgeon was very professional in fact he was a genius i have had pain in my back maybe 14 years, He was absolutely fantastic. The anesthetist was excellent all i remember is him saying you will be asleep in a few seconds. I woke up in my bed and told i could get up if I asked for the nurse, I was up and walking without pain quickly. And recovering great. But I have to mention my nurse he was absolutely brilliant a fantastic adversely for the hospital his name was Raymond please can you give him my thanks.

My experience of Woodthorpe Hospital is very positive. I was treated with the greatest respect and care from reception to discharge. I only stayed for one night and my every need was met including nursing care, pain management, food and drink and assistance with personal care. My private room was well appointed. All the staff were friendly and helpful, everything was explained very well and I was able to ask any questions I needed to. I felt confident about every aspect of my cosmetic procedure, with both the anesthetist and surgeon being very reassuring about what I was to undergo.
The healing process is ongoing with follow-up appointments to attend, but initial results are very pleasing.
Overall I believe that this was money well spent and I have no hesitation in recommending the Woodthorpe Hospital.

I recently had a minor foot operation at Woodthorpe hospital as a day patient. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, I was kept informed of everything that was happening throughout my stay. The facilities in my room were fantastic, very clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. Food and drink were offered after my operation and were to a good standard. The aftercare was excellent, it was all very sufficient but I did not feel rushed to leave.

My experience going private with Woodthorpe Hospital has been absolutely superb. All of the team from the receptionist to the nurses, surgeon and anesthetist went above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.
The follow up after surgery has also been great, making sure that I'm coping with the pain and wound management. You are definitely in good hands with this hospital. Thank you.

The physiotherapy treatment I received following my hip resurfacing has been nothing short of exemplary. Dimple has been thoroughly professional, encouraging and so knowledgeable. She has explained the whys and wheres of what we are doing each appointment, what is happening during my recovery phase and how I can continue to progress. My sincere thanks for all your support and dedication to me as your patient.

I was referred here under NHS to cut down on the waiting list. In all honesty I would have preferred to have received my after care at Derby Royal. I found the whole experience rather traumatic. No one seemed to communicate with each other I was told many different arrangements on admission. The surgeon and anaesthetist were lovely but oh my goodness the nursing after care !!! I was made to feel worthless. There was zero bedside manner. I had a very rough 12 hours following my surgery - sickness, temperature and low blood pressure. I returned to my room from recovery and my obs were taken twice. After that- nothing. Considering I had been so unwell I was disappointed with the lack of care and compassion. My daughter who is an NHS nurse rang me and asked me to request obs as they should be being done following major surgery at least every four hours. I was told by my very unfriendly nurse who initially blamed the HCA for my neglect that my room number had been rubbed from the obs board. She finally did them after a gap of 12 hours. My sheets had blood on and my daughter ended up asking for clean bedding and changing my bed herself. There seemed to be a total lack of warmth and genuine care from the nurses. No chat or greeting. Lots more things - too many to put on here. I can only assume that as I wasn’t paying for my care I was being treated as a second class citizen.

I cannot recommend Woodthorpe Hospital enough. I have just had a knee replacement operation. From the first consultation to my operation (including a 2 night stay), to the aftercare and follow up. The standard of training of the whole team is reflected in the exemplary levels of care and hygiene throughout my whole experience. Well done and thank you. 🏆🏅🏆

I recently had a procedure at Woodthorpe and received wonderful care from the consultant, surgeon and all staff who looked after me. The private room was comfortable and they really cared. The ongoing care is also good and I have no hesitation in recommending Ramsay Woodthorpe
