What a lovely place for helping me with my mental health. All I had to do was get a referral from my CPN or Doctor.
Now I come here for a hot lunch at low prices and there is a cafe for just tea and coffee and small tuck shop and lots of activities morning and afternoon's, it's such a safe place to be and all the staff lovely and are here to help with any problems.

What's needed and what they don't tell you about why people have mental health issues is if you look at a person's diet and sleep it can be why it leads to mental health it's not all psychiatric it can be psychological.
what's lacking is vitamin B12. Iron zinc magnesium.
Iron deficiency anemia in gastric surgeries causes anxiety and depression.
Self care lavender oils and herbal teas is a lot better for myself than psychiatric medication.
The only medication that works for myself is vencarm because for years I knew I have PTSD and that is easily startled. Yes I places like St George's are OK but it's among people with problems like yourself and sometimes you need to be around people with no mental health issues as well.
Keeping busy arts crafts exercise education and voluntary or work but work that's a good company that will support you with physical and mental health issues.

Somewhere for people to go to and enjoy each others company while playing games like pool in a warm environment. They also give hot meals to some of the less well-off people in society. A very laudable and worthwhile organisation.

St georges day centre is a life line for me you can go and enjoy your time away from the four walls in your home you can meet new people and have a chat over a coffee and there are activities that you can take part in like arts and crafts pool darts they go on a Monday club where you can enjoy things like a visit to a museum or you can go ten pin bowling so yes st George's helps me with my mental health issues and I'm not bouncing off the walls

St.georges day centre is a place for people with mental health issues and offers a safe place to have a brew and a chat with like minded people you can have lunch for a small fee and there are a number of activities that you can do from arts and craft clubs or you might like a game of pool or cards all in all its a great place to relax and enjoy a wide variety of activities.
