I went to see Colette, the acupuncturist, about an on-going issue and during our discussion I mentioned that I had torn a shoulder muscle and had an inflammation in the surrounding tissue. I knew this since I had had an ultrasound scan a week or so ago. My condition meant that if I tried to raise my right arm more than a foot above my waist, I couldn’t. We decided that treating the shoulder was more pressing than the treatment for hay fever so Colette diverted her efforts to the shoulder. Firstly, she shed blood from three fingers with a pin prick. I could not believe that the pain / discomfort I was experiencing by this alone was relieved instantly! It was then time for a single needle to be inserted into my left foot where it stayed for about 30 minutes. This was followed by two ‘quick’ insertions of needles, one in each foot. I am writing this review because following this treatment I could actually raise my right arm above my head without any pain. Now, I’m not saying ‘I’m cured’, but I am saying that the treatment from Colette has removed the pain and given me greater movement in the arm during the recover process.
If you’re struggling with a medical condition and want an alternative perspective, then I would thoroughly recommend Colette. It costs nothing to give her a call. Good Luck!

Colette was so professional and incredibly friendly. The made me feel very comfortable even though I was nervous for my first session.
In terms of the acupuncture treatment itself, I have been amazed with the results. I went to Colette for issues revolving around nausea. After 3 sessions over the course of 4 weeks I had no episodes of nausea that I normally would have everyday! Super impressed. Thank you. 🙂

Colette is so friendly, professional and knowledgable. I have been recovering from knee injuries and have had hip issues for quite some time. I have been see an osteopath regularly which helps but felt I needed something more. I have seen Colette 3 times for treatment, the improvement in my knees and hip has been significant and I am much more comfortable. I will return for maintenance or if any other issues arise! Highly recommended.

I was struggling to walk due to rheumatic pain when I first saw Colette and after the first appointment my pain had eased and after just a few further appointments the pain has now gone altogether. I saw Collette for a course of acupuncture on my foot which had been stiff for a while. Being needle phobic this was a challenge for me but I felt relaxed as she made me feel very comfortable. Essex Acupuncture Rooms has been a great find for me and are my go-to for pain and stress relief. Colette has helped me on several occasions initially with pain relief for Bells Paley’s. Whilst this an ongoing condition my visits to Colette really do bring me great relief with the pain and stress that comes with this condition these sessions have made a difference to me which have been invaluable. Colette also worked her magic on an knee problem, an old injury that I thought would get better in time, walking was painful and I struggled when walking downstairs, after one session with Colette pain was greatly relieved and I was able to walk up and down her stairs pain free and without holding on the handrail! I would recommend Colette 100%, she is a great listener and with her wealth of knowledge you are in safe hands, I have often fall asleep while having a treatment and I leave feeling that I’ve been cared for and understood which I find I don’t get I go to the Doctor.

After suffering severe prickly heat every summer for the last 10 years I decided to try acupuncture after i had exhausted all other treatments and remidies . After just a few appointments with Colette and spending some time in the sun i am so pleased to find my prickly heat has gone and I can enjoy holidays again .I can't thank Colette enough for this , always very professional , unhurried and understanding ,easy to talk to and above all else getting to the root of the issue , fantastic value for money , thank you .
