Had my first experience with GP Annandale Medical Centre today (27/01/2025) at 10:20 AM, and I was beyond impressed! The lovely lady who answered my call was professional, kind, and had excellent communication skills—her warmth alone felt like half my healing!

Even though all appointments were fully booked, she went out of her way to secure me a spot due to my urgency. I don’t know her name, but the way she called me “my love” showed how much she genuinely cares.

Absolutely 5-star service! Thank you for making my first interaction so positive. Highly recommend this practice!

I haven't always had the best experiences with the unpunctual GPs, but just wanted to acknowledge the receptionists who are always friendly and polite. In particular Kerrie-Anne this morning. She was respectful and explained to me what I need to do politely and non-judgmentally which was really nice, as I've had some horrific experiences under the NHS, (including by very unprofessional consultants). Anyway, I'm giving this review 5 stars, as I just wanted to commend this receptionist for treating patients kindly and respectfully.

We moved to this practice just over a year ago.
We have been able to book appointments when needed.
The Doctors and Nurses we have met have all been fantastic, especially with the care of our Mother.
The Receptionists can be a little gruff, but in the usual 'Gatekeeper' way.
All in all we are very happy that we changed.

After years I've rarely had good experiences booking appointments here. This morning I waited over 20 minutes AT NUMBER ONE in the phone queue, and gave up.

UPDATE to review years later…it turned our I had stage 3 cancer. The queue system here delayed me being seen by weeks. It is truly awful and here I am again waiting on a phone just to even book an appointment, I cannot recommend this surgery less, sorry…

We have always received a great service from Annandale. GP practices are generally having a really tough time at the moment but we are very happy with Annandale. As a family, we have always been able to get an appointment when needed (by calling reception or via the app) and everyone I have spoken to has been professional and caring.

I was a patient here, they gave me half my medication. When I rang up to tell them they said I had the whole lot which I completely disagreed with. I also found the receptionist very rude so I decided to leave the surgery as it was so poor.

I have to say the receptionist I spoke to this morning was absolutely kind and helpful. On the whole, in the 4 years I’ve been with this practice, I’ve had good care and been able to get appointments.
