I had a procedure here in 2023 - a year on and I couldn't be happier with the results. Dr Ball, David and the whole team are amazing - total dedication to providing an excellent service from the very first contact and right on into aftercare. If you're comparing clinics right now and reading reviews to help you decide...I would like to stop you there and tell you that the Maitland Clinic is the one.
I've had nothing but positive feedback on the results and not just from friends and family. Thank you to Dr Ball and his team for amazing service and quality!

Having wanted to thoroughly do my homework and chose the right clinic with high professional standards, this naturally led me to the Maitland Clinic. Their attitude towards their both craft and patients is outstanding. You will feel valued and looked after from the start to finish of your procedure, but that doesn't stop there; with the Maitland you are a patient for life and they will always be there to provide advice. My hair transplant was a completely life changing experience and has gone beyond all my expectations. The whole team in every area really are exceptional and not only are they brilliant at their job but they also love what they do and this shows.

The Maitland Clinic is 1st class. The staff were all so helpful, pleasant & attentive. Nothing was too much trouble & all questions answered. I was often being told " if you want or need anything, just ask".
Dr Ball explained everything & is extremely good at his work. I now look as if I have a full head of hair. A big change from the thinning & partial baldness I had before. I wholeheartedly thank Dr Ball, David Anderson & all his staff for an excellent & enjoyable experience.

I don't know where to begin with this review as I simply couldn't speak higher of Dr Ball and his team.

I am currently on day 5 post op.

Having to shave my head for the transplant was actually the thing I was most anxious about, but Dr Ball made me feel so at ease at the pre-op. He was so understanding and calm about my nerves and there was no judgment.

The day of the surgery I was treated with the up most respect from Dr Ball and all the team. Everyone introduced themselves as they arrived throughout the day and would always be checking in on my comfort.

I was kept in the loop at every step so I knew what was happening, I had plenty of entertainment to watch, I was comfortable, fed, watered, I honestly couldn't be more grateful to the entire team.

If anyone has any doubts I can tell you now, you are in THE safest hands and the most professional clinics I have ever come across.

Dr Ball and his amazing team of very experienced technicians repaired my first hair transplant - both removing the badly implanted, pluggy grafts from the hairline as well as restoring my overharvested donor using the same extracted grafts

On top of that, David Andersen (senior advisor, guiding all patients) and Dr Ball himself have had the kindness and patience to handle all my questions and soothe my anxiety over several months

My advice to anyone considering this: hair transplants are not to be taken lightly, they are complex, and require a lot of experience, expertise and coordination from the surgeon and their team to look good

TMC is one one of the very best clinics in Europe/globally - and I have done a lot of research after my first poor HT

I had a 2000 graft FUE transplant at the Maitland Clinic (Portsmouth) in March 2022. A year later I am very happy with the results and I would happily recommend Dr Ball and his team at the Maitland Clinic.

I had consultations (online and in person) with a good few clinics and none of them were as thorough as David Anderson and Dr Ball. All of the other clinics just looked at my head and gave a rough estimate by eye whereas Dr Ball had the proper hair analyzer machine and it was much more comprehensive consultation.

On the day it all went very smoothly and the team were great although it is a long day of course. The recovery was essentially pain free after the first few days. My donor area has healed up nicely and even though I wear my hair very short on the sides and back you can hardly notice any FUE scars. When the donor area hair grows longer you do not see any sparse patches from where the area has been over harvested it all looks natural. The top has fully grown now and its night and day difference to what it used to look like, I can wear it shorter now and it still looks much thicker than before.

Prior to the transplant, from my personal research Dr Ball and his team at the Maitland Clinic stood out as the best and a year on from having the transplant I would not go anywhere else.

I had my procedure with Dr Ball and his team earlier this week - 1,150 grafts, FUE hair transplant. I am absolutely delighted with the service and results I have achieved thus far. Dr Ball has a fantastic reputation and is extremely meticulous. I particularly liked their preference for natural-looking results that will be enjoyed in the long-term; taking into account your family history of hair loss to assess the likelihood of you requiring future procedures. They made me feel extremely welcome and at ease on the day. Dr Ball and his team are very empathetic, sociable, and professional. If I do require a 'top-up' in years to come, I certainly won't be looking anywhere else!

Excellent level of service from start to finish. The pre-op advice was very informative, and once I committed to the surgery I knew I was in the right hands. It’s a long day lasting about 12 hours, but the team were all extremely friendly and helpful, and I can’t imagine how the process could have gone any smoother. Dr Ball and his technicians were extremely diligent and I had every confidence in them.
